Check out our Round 5 SuperCoach wrap, with James Tedesco likely breaking the all-time NRL SuperCoach record.
Weekly WrapWell after spruiking my side last week I was brought back to earth with somewhat of a thud, scoring just over 1000 and losing about 6,000 ranking spots but nonetheless I’m still ranked higher than The Spy at the time of printing.
It was a tough week of trades with both Bradman Best and Harry Grant absolute musts before their price rises, whilst those who chased the points hopefully made the right call. I didn’t. Which makes the weekend a lot less enjoyable.

Whilst both players didn’t disappoint, they didn’t reach the lofty heights I think all SuperCoaches were hoping for.
Anthony Milford showed a flicker of what he is capable of, but it’s too big a risk to have him in your side.
Meanwhile Xavier Coates would have scored you 156 points had he have been playing for the Brisbane Lions instead of the Broncos.
To all those who brought Esan Masters in I feel your pain. He was a Milwaukee Talkies stalwart for the better part of 2019, losing more money than Australian Rugby so I knew his one inflated score to begin the year was too good to be true.
With Michael Morgan out for a few more weeks, cut your losses and run on Marsters.
Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow exploded in his first grade debut and may take the fullback role with Val Holmes out injured and at a bargain basement price of 171K might be worth a look.
Reece Robson got a starting spot and played the entire 80 minutes, banging out 73 with one try-assist.

It was Cleary’s first game back after a Tik-Tok ban, and the way the players are now, it wouldn’t surprise me if this wasn’t the last of its kind.
Moses won this battle chalking up 55 points, however his Round 1 effort against the Titans seems a long time ago.
Kurt Capewell appears to be out long-term so we are now faced with more drama in the centre-wing position which might be the make-or-break area for everyone.
I think we all considered bringing Latrell in for this matchup, but couldn’t as even against the Titans it seemed risky.
He finally found that form we all know he’s capable of setting up two tries for 112 points.
With the dual position status and a steal at 550k it may be worth shuffling the decks to try and get him in with the favourable draw in the next few weeks.
Damien Cook was again quiet by his measure with another 66, although it was his third score above 60 and with another price drop imminent you could save yourself around 130k from his starting price.

Kalyn Ponga was okay, but like Turbo, couldn’t match his previous week’s effort whilst it was more Bradman Solid rather than Best, although he does appear to be a keeper.
It was the wily old Cameron Smith who stole the show! He is still SuperCoach relevant at 36, setting three tries up to finish with 115 points, 39 points higher than the next best player.
Not much to wrap up here in SuperCoach land! I actually thought this game was going to be a high scoring affair with both sides able to score points at will, but it was a dour affair with Alex Twal the only player to score above 65, again playing 80 minutes.
David Nofoaluma was quiet, as was Harry Grant, however both appear to be keepers for the remainder of the season.
Embed from Getty ImagesThis was the best the Dragons looked for a long time! It was quite ironic that their two best players are two of the, well let’s just say we won’t be seeing them in a sexiest man of league calendar anytime soon with Matt Dufty and Cam McInnes scoring 120 and 111 respectively.
For the Sharks it was another case of not turning up. Shaun Johnson keeps chipping away but looks a shadow of his former self, whilst Andrew Fifita looks like his injury rehab was spent at TimeZone.
James Tedesco… What is it with fullbacks going large against the Bulldogs?! It was like a game of rugby league live on the PlayStation where he was just setting up and scoring tries for fun.
He surpasses Turbo (194) with the highest ever SuperCoach score, with 199 points!
He had three tries, two try-assists, two linebreaks, five linebreak assists and 12 tacklebreaks… wow.
We could talk all day about him but as a non-owner I don’t really want to. I actually think it’s unfair on the rest of the comp and it shouldn’t be counted. My thoughts anyway…
