The SC Spy answers the week's big questions plaguing SuperCoaches ahead of Round 12.
Decision TimeG’day Peeps,
SuperCoach is edging towards the business end of the season so it’s time to do everything you can to get your team in order asap.
Personally I like the idea of checking the player stats section and eyeing off any guys you want in your team moving forward.
That is essentially any of the guns you don’t have and you think you need. This will give you an idea of how close you are to your ideal line up.
From there it is a matter of some downgrades for cash generation if you need it, or for teams like myself it’s time to downgrade to nuffs or upgrade guys like Luai, mid-range forwards and backs and get myself into a position to come home on fire!
Unfortunately, as has been the case all year injuries make it difficult to do this. Just know that lots of us are in the same boat so you can only do what’s best for your side on each given week.
I’ve taken a look below at a few key issues/thoughts heading into this weekend.

This will entirely depend on the rest of your squad. If you’re like me and you don’t have anyone overly good to flip Matterson to on Sunday arvo if he is ruled out then I think selling Matto is a good option.
It’ll save the stress and potential disappointment of a late scratching and allow you to bring in another gun.
This also leaves the option of buying Matto back in a couple of weeks at a cheaper price and once you can be sure his concussion isn’t lingering.
If you can cover him though then it could be a nice move to hold. If he plays you are cheering and you won’t have to worry too much about the price drops because (barring another knock) he will score well to compensate. It’s a big decision, but personally I am selling.

His base has also been really good of late and with the Rabbits in a fight for the top 8 I’m hopeful Bennett keeps Murray’s minutes in the mid 60s.
In this range of players I’m also a massive fan of Cam McInnes. He is cheaper than he was a month ago and he is rock solid. I think generally speaking I just like Cams in SuperCoach!

The Chooks have the Titans and St George in the next two weeks and SURELY they are due to fire again soon after looking second rate against a gutsy Warriors last Saturday.
I also love Ikuvalu but Hall is far cheaper if you are in need of that help. Both have decent base for wingers also.
Embed from Getty ImagesI’ve discussed Sivo all year and this is the week I wanted him in. So, barring anything drastic he will be joining the Spy’s squad down at captain’s run on Saturday.
There is some risk that he can go low, but I also like the chances of a big 100+ game or two over the next month.
There’s a bit of risk for potential reward here before a possible sell pre Melbourne in four weeks.
The same could be said about Sione Katoa at the Sharks who could have some big weeks again. Just don’t expect it against Parra and Penrith in two and four weeks respectively who will be more difficult.
Hopefully his base can get him out of any major trouble in these games and if he can score you are cheering because he could do anything against Brisbane and the Titans if the Sharks can keep their momentum going. It’s Sivo for me though in a split decision.
That’s all I have time for this week troops. It’s a busy day ahead, good luck for Thursday night footy and the games to follow!
