Draft Breakdown: Rd 20 waiver-wire, trade targets

We are now down to the final round of the year, the SuperCoach Draft grand final.

Win, lose or draw you’ve had a cracking effort, but also no one remembers the guy that came second…

It’s been a brutal back end of the season for all SuperCoach players, with many NRL teams resting many SuperCoach Guns and the early word is that it sounds like we are in for another round of it.

The Manly games continue to be SuperCoach gold for any player involved and that would be my number one target for waiver-wires.

The Brisbane and Cowboys game could also be a good source of waiver-wire targets, with neither team being able to defend well and there should be plenty of options available.

Also, keep an eye on any Storm outside backs that are named in team lists.

WAIVER-WIRE TARGETS

Nicho Hynes (5-8/FLB)

Continues to show he can score big if given a role at fullback and I would also trust him at 5/8 if Munster is rested this week.

Brandon Smith (HOK/2RF)

Whilst Brandon didn’t score many points last week, with the rumoured resting of a number of Storm stars, he should see good minutes with the Storm trying to get miles under his legs for finals.

Andrew Davey (2RF)

Last week Davey was promoted to the starting squad playing 80 minutes on the left edge and scored decently with good base points against the Broncos.

If named to start this week against the Tigers, he is a worth a waiver and could even find some attacking points with Benji defending him.

Chris Lewis or Tom Eisenhuth

This is reserved for whoever gets the starting edge back-row spot for the Storm

Felise Kaufusi and Kenny Bromwich are both in doubt for the weekend.

Eisenhuth would be ideal if he is named as you can play him in your CTW, but I would also trust Chris Lewis to score decently if named.

Alex Glenn (2RF/CTW)

Glenn is a solid CTW option that won’t let you down but doesn’t have much upside, although this week he should line up against Drinkwater, who struggles with defence to say the least.

Jake Clifford (HFB/ 5-8)

Clifford has scored decently against the Panthers and the Storm the last two weeks, with 61 and 41 points respectively.

This week against the Broncos he should be playable in your team if you are struggling for half options.

Jayden Okunbor (CTW)

The Bulldogs have a tough matchup against Penrith, but Okunbor has good base and if you watched the game last week, it seems the Bulldogs main plan of attack is just to kick the ball to Okunbor.
