Adelaide Strikers
Alex Carey (Australia)  Back from skippering Australia A and included in the squad for the second game of the Round 2 double for the Strikers.
Travis Head (Australia)  Won’t be back in the BBL for a while one would think.  Looks pretty safe in the Australian set up with other batting position uncertainty.
Michael Neser (Australia)  In the Test squad but well behind other bowling options in the pecking order. Unknown when he will return to the Strikers. Likely to be called back at some point one would imagine.
Harry ‘Peaches’ Conway (Australia)  After watching him bat in the tour game against India he is my new favourite cricketer. What a character! Unfortunately, he is recovering from a concussion sustained whilst displaying his batting heroics but hopefully he is not out for long!
Brisbane Heat
Joe Denly (England)  A replacement player for Tom Banton’s position. He will join in with the Heat team in early January.
Joe Burns (Australia)  In the Test squad. There has just been a little bit of conjecture in regards to his opening spot.
Marnus Labuschagne (Australia)  Unlikely to play in the BBL until the very end.
Mujeeb ur Rahman (Afghanistan)  Has finished quarantine after recovering from COVID and is available for selection in the team.
Morne Morkel (Australia)*As a side note it is kind of weird to have him down as a local but there you go. Recovering from an ankle injury so will miss the first bit of the tournament.
Mitchell Swepson (Australia)  In the Test squad but well behind Lyon in the pecking order. Unknown when he will return to the Heat. Likely to be called back at some point one would imagine.
Dan Lawrence (England)  Has started the tournament for the Heat. Has been named for the England squad for their series of Sri Lanka though so he won’t be here for long.
Lewis Gregory (England)  Is in Australia and undergoing mandatory two week quarantine.
Matt Willans (Australia)Not really SuperCoach relevant but is unavailable due to injury.
Hobart Hurricanes
Matthew Wade  (Australia)Unlikely to play in the BBL until the very end.
Colin Ingram (South Africa)  Starting the tournament as a replacement for Dawid Malan. Will be here till Malan is picked and ready one would imagine.
Dawid Malan (England)  Flew to Australia a tad earlier than his English counterparts so technically may play before some others. Watch this space.
Sandeep Lamichane (Nepal)  The recruit for the Hobart Hurricanes will join up with his new teammates from January. Poor fella tested positive for COVID too!
Keemo Paul (West Indies)  The dreadful West Indies series against NZ has now concluded. Will not have to quarantine and should arrive from NZ soon.
Tim Paine (Australia)  Unlikely to play in the BBL until the very end.
Ben McDermott (Australia)Scored a stylish century for Australia A and has now been named in the squad for the second game of the Round Two double for the Hurricanes.
Mitch Owen (Australia)The young all-rounder will re-join the squad soon after dealing with stress fractures. Hard to break into the Hurricanes though at the moment!
Melbourne Renegades
James Pattinson (Australia)  Is in the Australian Test squad and due to the hectic summer you would imagine he will be playing Tests at some stage.
Aaron Finch (Australia)Is taking a break for their Round 3 match against Hobart in order to freshen up for the rest of the tournament.
Noor Ahmad (Afghanistan)  The 15 year old spinner will start the tournament and then by replaced by Imran Tahir. Is only available for selection from Round 3 onwards due to quarantining.
Mohammad Nabi (Afghanistan)  Is only available for selection from Round 3 onwards due to quarantining.
Imad Wasim (Pakistan)The all-rounder will be available from Boxing Day onwards.
Cameron Boyce (Australia)  We wish Cameron Boyce all the best as he misses the start of the season with a health condition.
Imran Tahir (South Africa)  Will be available for the Renegades after Christmas and replaces Noor Ahmad. Unsure of exact time.
Marcus Harris (Australia)  Is currently in the Australian test squad and looks like playing the first Test vs India.
Benny Howell (England(Replacement player for Nabi as he completes his quarantine period.

Melbourne Stars
Dilbar Hussain (Pakistan)The promising cheapie injured a hamstring during the second game against the Thunder. Nothing confirmed but you would imagine he will miss some matches.
Harris Rauf (Pakistan)Huge news and a huge price! Not a lot of clarity about when he will be bowling some express for the Stars. He could arrive early January, he could arrive mid Jan, but what is known is that he will definitely play in matches between January 17 to 26. Unfortunately, he won’t be available for the Stars if they made finals as he will be required for international cricket.
Zahir Khan (Afghanistan)  Missed that all important round 1 Stars double due to the fact that Mujeeb ur Rahman tested positive for COVID. Nothing has been confirmed but he could potentially play in their Round 2 fixture.
Nicholas Pooran (West Indies)  The West Indies have now officially finished touring NZ but there is nothing confirmed about when he will be available for selection. He will not have to quarantine upon arrival in Australia.
Will Pucovski (Australia)  Suffered a nasty head knock whilst playing for Australia A. Injury and great form will mean he won’t be playing BBL anytime soon.
Andre Fletcher (West Indies)Looks like being here for the long haul and is expected to be available for selection up until around Australia Day.
Jackson Coleman  (Australia)Currently nursing a hamstring injury.
Perth Scorchers
Ashton Agar (Australia)  Injured his right calf whilst playing for Australia vs India recently. Won’t play the next few games with December 28 against the Strikers looming as his return game for the Scorchers.
Joe Clarke (England)  Will play the first bit of the season before being replaced by his English counterparts.
Cameron Green (Australia)  Will have his availability impacted by selection in the two squads. Also was concussed with a nasty injury suffered when bowling recently against India. Form and injury mean he won’t be playing BBL anytime soon one would imagine.
Liam Livingstone (England)  Is in Australia and undergoing mandatory two week quarantine. Looks like being available after Christmas.
Jason Behrendorff (Australia)Will miss just their match in Round 2 as he is returning to Perth because he is about to become a Dad for a second time. Congratulations Jason! Will rejoin the squad for their game in Round 3.
Jason Roy (England)  Is in Australia and undergoing mandatory two week quarantine.
Sydney Sixers
Moises Henriques (Australia)  Mo Mo the Yo Yo is in and out of any squad and it changes on a daily basis. The latest is that he is in the Australian Test squad as a replacement for Sean Abbott for the first Test only at this stage.
Sean Abbott (Australia)  Has a minor calf injury but it is presumed that he will rejoin the Australian Test squad once recovered, so he is unlikely to be featuring for the Sixers anytime soon.
Jason Holder (West Indies)  Will arrive for a three game stint after the West Indies are finished up their disastrous tour of NZ. He will be available for selection for games on December 20, 26 and 29.
Jake Ball (England)Recruited to the Sixers as a bowling replacement for Tom Curran. Available for selection after Christmas.
Nathan Lyon (Australia)  Picked in the Test squad and unlikely to feature for the Sixers until the business end.
Mitchell Starc (Australia)  Picked in the Test squad and unlikely to feature for the Sixers until the business end.
Jackson Bird (Australia)  Injured calf when playing for Australia A.
Sydney Thunder
Sam Billings (England)  Is in Australia and undergoing mandatory two week quarantine. May miss several games and not play straight out of quarantine. The Thunder have indicated they may be cautious when he is eligible to play.
Jason Sangha (Australia)Unlikely to be best eleven even after returning from injury shortly.
Adam Milne (NZ)  Missed first game with some hamstring troubles. The Thunder will be conservative with their approach but believe he will be available for selection against the Scorchers on December 22 in Round 3.
Alex Ross (Australia)Injured his groin in the Round 2 match against the Thunder. Even though the Thunder have a large break between matches he did look a little uncomfortable so you will have to monitor the condition of the ‘Sweepologist’.
