It doesn’t take much to nick off early or get unlucky with an umpire’s decision (as far as I can see there’s no decision review system for BBL this season). The make-up of last season’s top 20 averaging players (excluding Jackson Coleman who only played one game) supports this argument. Of the top 20, only four are classified as BAT or BAT/WKP and didn’t take any wickets (Aaron Finch, Matty Wade, Mac Wright and Alex Carey)
