We take a look at the best options to grab from the NRL SuperCoach Draft wires ahead of Round 10 action.
Draft BreakdownEvery week I will be looking at players still available in 65% of leagues. There may be better options still available in your league, but this article will be focusing on the players that are likely to be available in most leagues.
Best call last week – CHT – who got lucky with a few tries and didn’t take over the goal-kicking. Can’t say I’m confident he will keep it up, but it’s worth seeing out a few rounds with him.
Worst call last week – Max Feagai – who saw no opportunities outside Fuimaono and isn’t an option unless he shifts to the left-hand side outside Bird.
We are almost halfway through the regular season for most draft comps and tough decisions need to be made for coaches at the bottom of the table.
It’s time to cut ties with players that aren’t performing and take some risks on the waiver or make some trades.
Let’s have a look at the options we have this week, ahead of the coming team lists.

Harper is averaging 59PPG over five games and is surprisingly only owned by just over 25% of leagues.
That average is with one try in the right-centre spot for Manly
He also has great base stats so he won’t let you down on a poor week, averaging 31 points in base alone this season.
As long as Turbo is playing Harper is a great play every week.

Dale Finucane (2RF)
Finucane has clearly frustrated some owners with two scores in the 20’s after injuring his calf in the pre-season.
He has torn his calf several times, so the Storm were probably being careful with his workload coming back from injury.
His minutes are increasing steadily since returning and last week he saw a respectful 54 minutes and 54 points.
Over the past two seasons he has averaged 55PPG and he will provide you that consistent score each week.
Blake Lawrie (FRF/2RF)
Lawrie started the season slow after a good season last year.
In the last two weeks he has seen increased minutes and has increased workload.
This is probably as a result of Fuimaono moving out of the forward rotation, but he is a good option until Lomax returns.
Lachlan Lam (HOK/5-8)
Lam returns and gets the Roosters 5/8 spot due to the injury to Drew Hutchinson.
He doesn’t have the abilities or SuperCoach potential as Sam Walker, but he’s shown he can score decently and has the vital dual position status.
Bailey Simonsson (CTW)
Simonsson is definitely a play for the deeper leagues after throwing up garbage this season.
He has switched from the right-hand side of Raiders to the ‘stronger’ left-hand side and produced his first good score this season after the switch.
He can be played against the Bulldogs this week if you are stretched for CTW.
