The SC Bandit runs the rule over the best AFL SuperCoach captaincy and vice-captaincy options to consider.
AFLThere was a huge range of excellent captain’s scores to pick from last week, with plenty of popular players performing well.
Marcus Bontempelli (161), Touk Miller (157), Rory Laird (140) and Zach Merrett (133) were the standouts, while Lachie Neale (123) and Tim English (122) were also solid.
Let’s take a look at who should be on your captaincy radar this week.

Last 3 vs MELB: 100, 125, 118

Last 3 vs FREM: 113, 122, 94

No better week to look at a VC or C tag this week for Steele who faces Hawthorn at Marvel Stadium. His recent record against the Hawks reads fairly well.
Last 3 vs HAW: 125, 91, 111

He’s putting the Dogs on his back and carrying them to an unlikely finals berth. Can he produce another big game against the Cats? You’d be a brave coach to bet against him.
Last 3 vs GEEL: 109, 143, 122

This guy has become the most bulletproof captaincy option over the last few weeks. It doesn’t matter who he plays against, where they play ,or what time, he always seems to score well. Probably the safest option in the game this week.
Last 3 vs CARL: 123, 109, 136
The next safest option you’d have to say is probably Miller, given he comes up against a West Coast team that looks just about ready to head to Bali for its end of season footy trip. Should have no problems putting up a big score on the Eagles this week at home.
Last 3 vs WCE: 137, 80, 98

Last 3 vs RICH: 107, 149, 190

The only slight concern might be a tag? Outside of that, hard to see him not scoring well in the final game of the round.
Last 3 vs NM: 114, 117, 68

C: One of Laird or Miller
