Remarkably, the Melbourne Stars enter the 2022/23 Big Bash tournament without a title to their name despite years of stacked rosters.
They have three runner-up finishes, and have failed to make the finals in the past two editions of the competition.
Can this be the year they break their hoodoo?
Perhaps, but with a relatively similar roster to past seasons it’ll take something new to spark the side that still boasts plenty of strike-power.
That spark may just be Kiwi gun Trent Boult who joins the squad in a major coup and will play up until leaving for the ILT20 tournament in January.
