Analysing the top 100,000 NRL Supercoach teams after Round 6

Whether you’re chasing ranks, or playing it safe up top, it’ll help identify the best ways to try and achieve your Supercoach goals.

The tables below sets out the proportion of Supercoach teams in the top 100, top 500, top 1,000, top 5,000, top 10,000, top 20,000 and top 100,000 that own each player.

Let’s take a look at the ownership of players at the conclusion of Round 6.

Fullback (excl duals)

Back to form, Kalyn Ponga’s ownership soared among the top 10,000 ranked teams from 45% to 62% last weekend.

Tom Trbojevic also elevated substantially, moving from 30% in the top 10k to 43%.

People moved from James Tedesco who missed the clash with Newcastle due to a head knock, putting the Roosters fullback firmly into super POD range at 1%-2% ownership among essentially all brackets.

CTW

Last week’s most traded in player James Schiller saw remarkable growth due to his low breakeven, moving from 3% ownership among the top 100,000 to 58%.

Among the top 10,000 ranked teams he’s now owned by 75%, up from 4% last week, meaning 25% were happy to bypass the $150k price rise last round.

It’ll be interesting to see how many jump on board this week for his second major rise.

FIVE-EIGHTH

Luke Brooks saw a reduction in ownership from 47% among the top 10,000 down to 38%.

Ethan Strange increased from 85% in the top 10k to 92%, with new owners rewarded with another strong price rise.

HFB

Nathan Cleary dropped from 20% among the top 10,000 down to 16% after news he’d be unavailable this week.

Shaun Johnson and Nicho Hynes were the prominent trade-ins.

Johnson owners were particularly rewarded with a big score, he went from 25% ownership among the top 1,000 up to 40%.

2RF 

Englishman Kai Pearce-Paul continues to find admirers, rising from 38% in the top 1,000 to 61% after a strong 82 point performance against the Roosters.

Shaun Lane’s popularity continues to dip with his underwhelming form, dropping 42% among the top 100,000 down to 37%.

Not unsurprisingly that numbers drops to just 19% ownership among the top 100 ranked teams.

FRF 

Upon confirmation of his dual FRF-2RF positioning, Supercoaches flocked to Josh Curran who jumped from 29% among the top 10,000 to 40%.

Terrell May continues to grow in ownership, rising from 61% among the top 10,000 to 71%.

HOK 

Little movement across the week at hooker, although this could change in coming rounds with Danny Levi peaking and Joey Lussick not far off, coinciding with Harry Grant starting to bottom out in price.
