Quantium Data Analysis: 2025 NRL Supercoach Ownership Stats, Rd 20

The Random Stats Guy analyses the player ownership of the top ranked Supercoach teams in Round 20

NRL

Analysing the NRL Supercoach ownership of players across the top teams heading into the last week of Supercoach.

To make life easier when identifying true ownership of NRL Supercoach players, each week we’ll break it down into ranking brackets.

Whether you’re chasing ranks, or playing it safe up top, it’ll help identify the best ways to try and achieve your Supercoach goals.

The tables below sets out the proportion of Supercoach teams in the top 1%, top 5%, top 10% and overall that own each player.

This season, there are over 150,000 Supercoach teams, so the top 1% would be roughly the top 1500 teams, top 5% is the top 7,500 teams and top 10% is top 15,000 teams.

Let’s take a look at the ownership of players heading into Round 20.

BetBuzz have partnered up with SC Playbook for the remainder of the NRL season! The SC Playbook multi of the week is Kaeo Weekes and Hudson Young to combine for three or more tries in round 20. FOLLOW HERE!

Fullback

Kaeo Weekes is the most traded-in player this week, and there is plenty of reason why he is the top pick.

Firstly, his breakeven is -71 with a projected price rise that will send him from $578k to just shy of $800k.

Secondly, he isn’t just a cash grab; he could be a season-keeper with potentially five top 8 teams in his final 7 games of the season.

Dylan Edwards is right behind him for trade-ins this week, with the Panthers’ fullback having the 5th highest average of FLBs this season (3rd, if you discount the injured Papenhuyzen and Sharpe).

Ryan Papenhuyzen‘s calf strain has made owners grow impatient, as he has been sold to go to either Weekes or Edwards.

If you don’t have the trades left, he could be worth a hold as he signalled on his 167 podcast that he will be back for the Roosters match next week.

CTW

Zac Lomax is the 4th most traded-in player this week, following his 86 points against Penrith.

From a normal observer’s lens, he has been ordinary the last few weeks.

However, putting on the Supercoach lens, he has knocked out 60+ points in 7 consecutive games, including 80+ in his last 3 matches.

Valentine Holmes has also sparked interest as the 8th most traded-in player this week.

There was a big question mark whether the Dragons’ left side attack would continue to be dominant with Flanagan moving to the right, and well, we have the sample size to answer this as yes.

Holmes has only scored sub-60 points twice this season, and is averaging 83 in his last 3 matches.

Josiah Karapani‘s run of generating cash seems over, as he is the 4th most traded out player with the Broncos on a bye.

We finally got to see what he scores without crossing the chalk, and 33 was all he could deliver.

Although, he will probably score a try more times than not on his run home…

5/8

Not too much to report on here.

Lyhkan King-Togia is the 5th most traded out player among the top 1%, with most Supercoaches moving to Tanah Boyd.

The Warriors’ half impressed on his club debut with 70 points, however, we should mention it was a home game against the Tigers.

A real test in the weeks to come vs the Knights (c’mon, they are good in defence), Dolphins and Bulldogs.

He is obviously a back-up half, but if some are planning to field him week in, week out, just be cautious.

HLF

Nicho Hynes took ownership of the Sharks’ attack last week, scoring 137 points against the Dolphins at home.

Jahrome Hughes also tonned up for the Storm, less than 24 hours, however, I think Nicho went further ahead in the debate on who is the better half to own.

Nathan Cleary owners were still celebrating his 82 points in 49 minutes off the bench when they learnt he will be rested this week vs Souths.

Those Supercoaches aren’t fazed with the decision, with Cleary’s ownership barely moving this week.

2RF

The season-ending injury to Dylan Lucas has made owners burn a trade they wish they didn’t have to make.

Hudson Young is the most popular replacement and is the 2nd most traded-in player this week for the top 1% of Supercoaches.

Young has been disregarded by many this season, despite boasting the 6th highest average of all players (81.1ppg)

Yeh he has done it scoring tries, but guess what? Have you seen his draw?

More tries are expected to come, and so too are Supercoach points.

Tino, Erin Clark and Briton Nikora have also been popular replacements for Lucas by the top 1%.

FRF

PSA: There is now basically no one ranked in the top 1% that doesn’t own Terrell May.

Other than that, nothing else to report on this week.

HOK

Kalani Going has been a popular pick up to free up cash for the top 1%, ranking 4th for trade-ins.

Blayke Brailey‘s form has warranted him selection for the hooker role, although Harry Grant is still the popular choice.

Brailey has been taking his opportunities in attack leading to scores of 102, 97, 48 (Storm @ AAMI) and 117 in his last 4 matches.
