NRL

Analysing the NRL Supercoach ownership of players across the top teams heading into the last week of Supercoach.

To make life easier when identifying true ownership of NRL Supercoach players, each week we’ll break it down into ranking brackets.

Whether you’re chasing ranks, or playing it safe up top, it’ll help identify the best ways to try and achieve your Supercoach goals.

The tables below sets out the proportion of Supercoach teams in the top 1%, top 5%, top 10% and overall that own each player.

This season, there are over 150,000 Supercoach teams, so the top 1% would be roughly the top 1500 teams, top 5% is the top 7,500 teams and top 10% is top 15,000 teams.

Let’s take a look at the ownership of players heading into Round 24.

Fantasy NRL markets have arrived! Alongside our mates at BetBuzz, we’ve designed unique fantasy based markets pitting players together by position every round. Check them out here!

Fullback

James Tedesco has jumped to the top of the list of the most traded-in players this week, following his season record 189 points last week vs Dolphins.

It had been a tough run for Teddy coming into the game – with a 3-round average of 48 – which concerns me ahead of the Bulldogs game, where 4 of the last 5 fullbacks have scored 50 or less points.

But I guess those who were scarred by/missed last week’s points have fled to him, with most trading out Kaeo Weekes with the Raiders on the bye.

Tom Trbojevic is another popular trade-in this week as a replacement for the underperforming Scott Drinkwater.

He has kept the #1 jersey, despite the return of Lehi Hopoate, and has a 76.8 average in his last 5 games.

Tigers, Dolphins, Dragons and Warriors to come – on top of the fact that Manly ned to win all 4 of those games to have any top 8 chances – makes him a reasonable pick up.

CTW

There actually isn’t too much news from CTW front, with most of the popular options staying stable in ownership.

However, there are some POD plays being made by Supercoaches in the top 1% with H2H finals and the overall competition entering its final month of footy.

Roger Tuivasa-Sheck is the 2nd most traded-in player with 45 new owners. His 41 points (with a try) last week vs Bulldogs was his first sub-50 score since Round 11.

He has a great draw to finish with the Dragons, Titans, Eels and Sea Eagles. He also boasts a 76-point average at home in his last 5 games.

Tolutau Koula is another CTW that sits in the top 10 for trade-ins by the top 1% of Supercoaches.

If you take away that lazy 28 vs Dogs in Round 21, he averages 76 since Round 18. See above for the Manly draw – icmyi, it looks good!

5/8

Cam Munster is the 2nd most traded-in player this week, following his 92 points against the Broncos.

He has a 72-point average this season, and has 5 scores over 60 in his last 6 games

However, he has got Penrith this week (52-point average in his last 5 meetings), into the Bulldogs the next (who rank 16th for points scored by left halfs), which isn’t too great for his scoring potential.

HLF

Sam Walker is the 6th most traded-in player this week, but the top 1% of Supercoaches aren’t too keen on burning a trade for him, with only 9 coaches trading him in.

He has a 3-round average of 97, making at least 3 try assists in each of those games.

That stat might dry up against the Dogs…

2RF

Briton Nikora has been the latest forced trade after he lost his cool and will sit out the rest of the Supercoach season with suspension.

Most Supercoaches are bringing in reinforcements from the Titans, with Tino and Beau Fermor the 7th and 4th most traded-in players this week.

Sharks, Warriors and Dolphins are going to be tough opposition, but hopefully that will these boys deliver with some strong base scores.

FRF

Not much movement for front-rowers this week, with most keeping with the big 3 – Clark, May, Haas.

HOK

Ditto for the hookers, with some Supercoaches in the top 1% going early from Blayke Brailey to Harry Grant, with the former having the bye next week.
