NFL and Supercoach expert Oscar Henderson analyses a range of quarterback options ahead of Supercoach NFL 2025/26
NFLJust as quarterbacks are an integral piece of every NFL team, choosing the right quarterbacks for your own Supercoach team may also hold the key to success.
This position is without a doubt the highest-scoring position in the game. Based on last season, the top 6 averaging players in Supercoach would all have been quarterbacks. Captain options are plenty.
Although this position is bursting with premium talent, it also holds some of the best-valued cheapies in the game. Who should you choose? Well, hopefully this analysis can help you with making that decision.

Lamar Jackson ($30.01m)
Individually, Jackson is coming off his best season ever as a passer, but it is what he can do with his legs that makes him one of the elite dual-threat quarterbacks of the league.
Jackson was playing the best of his life last year and will look to build on that hot form once again this season. You’d expect the Ravens’ strong offensive unit to continue to put up a lot of points, with Jackson being at the helm of this.
He is the most expensive player in the game for a reason. It would not surprise me in the slightest if he finishes the season as the highest-scoring player in Supercoach.

The reigning NFL MVP possesses one of the strongest arms around, but it is how the Bills utilise him as a runner that really separates him as a premium Supercoach option.
Allen’s freakish athleticism paired with his monstrous frame makes him the Bills go-to option in short-yardage situations. This game plan resulted in 12 rushing touchdowns of his own last year, with Jalen Hurts being the only quarterback to record more.
Expect Allen to put up similar numbers this year and challenge Jackson for the title of highest-scoring player in Supercoach.
Joe Burrow ($26.42m)
Burrow showed us what he was capable of last season, leading the league in both passing yards and passing touchdowns. The Bengals absolutely love to throw the ball, with Burrow-Chase-Higgins being one of the best trios in the league.
Once again, the Bengals offensive line looks to be an issue going into this season, and Burrow does lack the dual threat of other options around his price. However, if Chase and Higgins stay healthy, the sky is the limit for his passing production.

Last year’s Offensive Rookie of the Year put together a season to remember, leading the Commanders all the way to the NFC Championship. Daniels took no time settling into the NFL, and it is scary to think of just how high his ceiling is with a year of experience under his belt.
Daniel’s dual-threat ability is up there with the best in the league, making him a very enticing pick for my Supercoach team.
Drake Maye ($18.7m)
Maye took over the starting quarterback role early last season and provided glimmers of hope for the Patriot’s future. Maye’s playstyle is very Supercoach friendly, having the second-highest scrambling rate in the league (behind only Jayden Daniels).
The Patriots offense will hopefully be better this season, with the addition of Stefon Diggs along with offensive line help. As Maye continues to develop, his Supercoach output could take off.

Yet another second-year quarterback, last year’s number one pick will look to improve on a solid rookie season. There is no doubt Williams has the talent to be a top quarterback in Supercoach.
With the Bears continuing to add offensive weapons around him, Williams could very well be in for a breakout sophomore year.
Justin Fields ($13.92m)
Fields looks set to start for the New York Jets this season, his third team in his short career. Fields has yet to properly find his feet in the NFL but still possesses a Supercoach-friendly dual-threat playstyle.
Definitely a risky pick, but at this price he could be a risk worth taking.

We only got a glimpse of Penix Jr. last season, as he took over as QB1 very late in the season. In a limited sample size he looked promising, and you would expect him to keep the starting job over Kirk Cousins.
Not the most exciting pick, but at this price you are almost guaranteed value and some good cash generation.
Cam Ward ($4.7m)
I expect this year’s number one pick to find his way into a lot of Supercoach teams to start the season, and I can’t fault it. Ward obviously possesses an abundance of talent, and with Supercoach pricing all rookies at ridiculously low prices, he is guaranteed to make you a lot of cash if he stays healthy.
It’s important to keep in mind the Titans had the first pick for a reason; they are not a good team. Ward may struggle to adjust early, especially with the lack of talent around him.

McCarthy suffered a torn meniscus in the 2024 preseason, practically making him a rookie this season. Similar to Ward, at this price McCarthy is almost guaranteed to be a cash generation machine. However, McCarthy enters a very good situation at the Vikings with a strong offensive line and gun receiving corps.
Although in college McCarthy’s low throwing volume looks anything but ideal for supercoach scoring, he is still definitely in a great spot to succeed.
