Eden Richards gives his trade plans, captains, and PODs ahead of NFL Supercoach Week 9
NFLThank God that’s over.
Week 8 was an absolute disaster for yours truly, barely scraping together a score of 400 thanks to a long list of underwhelming scores.
It all started with Drake London’s late withdrawal, but little did I know, the worst was yet to come.
Bijan Robinson, Jordan Mason and Jacory Croskey-Merritt all combined for a grand total of 14 points, while Matt Golden only managed a paltry three points.
The byes meant my squad depth was tested, and I certainly paid the price…
But that’s enough about last week. It’s time to bounce back and begin my climb up the rankings.
I’ve got some big trades planned this week so let’s get into it.
Embed from Getty ImagesI’d like to welcome Jonathan Taylor to the Pump The Drakes roster.
Taylor is a must have and I’ve finally found a way to get him in. Hallelujah.
If you don’t have Taylor, it’s time to look at any means necessary to get him in your team.
He is easily the top running back in Supercoach, averaging a massive 50 points per game.
This is nine more points than CMC in second.
This is a huge gap and shows just how dominant Taylor has been, especially when you consider the year CMC is having.
Not only is Taylor the best running back in Supercoach, but he’s also scored the most points of any player in any position this season.
Embed from Getty ImagesAll this means he’s priced at a whopping $27,400,000.
That may seem like a lot, but the scary thing is his BE is still 14.
This means he is projected go up another $2.3 million this week, and he could be well over $30 million in a couple of weeks’ time.
He has 529 yards and NINE touchdowns in his last four games.
You simply have to get him in.
I am using a boost to make this happen, meaning I will make three trades this week.
Embed from Getty ImagesAshton Jeanty is the running back that makes way for Taylor.
He has peaked in cash and is beginning to lose money so Jeanty is someone you should be trading this week.
I’m also looking at bringing in Michael Pittman for George Pickens. Pickens’ BE is now at 57, meaning he will lose money this week.
I don’t see Pickens as a season-long hold and I will be trading him before he starts losing too much cash.
Ceedee Lamb has been back for the last two games and that’s meant Pickens has returned to his rightful place as WR2 at the Cowboys.
Lamb is first in line, especially around the red zone, and he is the Cowboys receiver you’d be looking to own on the run home.
Embed from Getty ImagesI don’t have the cash for Lamb so I am looking at Pittman.
He’s been low-key killing it this season and looks underpriced.
The Colts have been the story of 2025 and Pittman has been quietly going about his business, rising up the rankings to WR7 in Supercoach.
He is still only $12,480,000 and this is a bargain for someone as reliable as Pittman.
He may not have the huge games your true top-end receivers can produce, but instead he is super consistent and a great set-and-forget for your lineup.
He has a great matchup against the Steelers this week and his BE of -5 makes him a priority purchase for Week 9.
The last trade I’ll be making is one built on strategy.
Embed from Getty ImagesI am trading my benched kicker Cam Little for the bottom-priced Ryan Coe.
I see myself only needing one kicker for the run home, and by trading out Little for Coe, I can free up enough cash to bring in Taylor.
That means I’ll have Coe as a non-player on my bench, with Tyler Loop starting as my kicker for the run home.
I’m more than happy putting my trust in Loop, especially with the return of Lamar Jackson this week.
The Ravens should have plenty of points-scoring opportunities in the coming weeks, and best of all, they’ve already had their bye.
I’ve gone to all this effort to bring in Taylor, so you best believe I am making him captain.
It’s an easy decision to make. He has the most points in Supercoach, the highest average in Supercoach, and is running behind the best O-line in the NFL.
Embed from Getty ImagesHe also has a great matchup this week.
In the past two games, the Steelers have given up 5.5 yards-per-carry to Emanuel Wilson and 9.8 yards per carry to Chase Brown.
This reads very well for Taylor.
My vice-captain this week will be the one and only Drake Maye.
Maye came up against a tough Browns defence last week and absolutely torched them.
He is red hot and I expect him to continue his stellar form against the Falcons.
He is riding high on confidence and I have no reason to take the VC off him.

It’s a lean week for PODs and serious cash cows so instead of giving you a few I’m not completely sold on, I’m just going to zone in on one player I feel is under-owned.
Michael Pittman (WR) $12,480,000
I’m putting Pittman as a POD because he is the #7 wide receiver and still only owned by 3.4% of coaches.
You really would expect that number to be higher and I’m sure there will be plenty of coaches bringing him in this week.
One of the biggest improvements for Pittman this season has been his ability to find the end zone.
He’s already scored six touchdowns this season and that’s the equal-most he’s ever had in a season.
There’s still plenty of games to go and QB Daniel Jones will continue to target him, especially in the red zone.
There’s a good chance he adds to his tally this week against a Steelers secondary that is making a habit of getting torched each week.
Last week Tucker Kraft had 143 yards and two touchdowns, and the week before Ja’Marr Chase had 161 yards and a touchdown.
Hopefully this week it’s Pittman who cashes in.
