NFL Supercoach expert Josh Clutterbuck goes through the best Buy, Hold, and Sell options for Week 10
NFLAnother week is in the books, and teams have seen mixed results once again, thanks to some of the top players like Mahomes and Taylor having their lowest Supercoach scores of the season and POD’s like Drake London and an injury-free Bowers both popping off for their highest scores of the season.
A formal apology for putting the curse on Skattebo and Kraft in successive weeks, I’ll try not to curse any standout players this week.
For me personally, I scored 450, and I was bitterly disappointed with Gibbs throwing up a single-digit score.
This has been the worry for me all season long, as he has a tendency to throw up these sorts of games.
My TE’s put up low double-digit scores, which was disappointing once again, and having to play Golden with his 3 points off the bench in the place of Boutte also hurt.
My main 4 receivers all put up decent points in the high 20’s and mid to high 30’s.
Josh Allen is back and is primed to take the Bills on a run, whilst Drake Maye played his worst game of the year and still put up mid 30s.
CMC was brought into the team, and I looped him in as skipper where he had a nice score of 63, which salvaged my week.
This week, we see players like Mahomes, Javonte Williams, Lamb, Kelce, Chase and Ferguson all head off for byes.
Many teams would have prepared for this already, but based on some of the trades, others are hitting the panic button.
Let’s get into this week’s BSH for week 10!

Before we get into the individual players, 4 of the top 10 most traded in this week are 4 of the top receivers in the league in Puka, JSN, St. Brown and London.
The first 3 are must-haves in my opinion, alongside Chase for the rest of the season, and if you don’t have all of them in your team, try whatever you can to acquire them.
London has high upside but is dependent on Penix as to whether or not he’ll do well.
I won’t include them in the list individually, as they’re sort of no-brainer picks that most coaches will have already.

Bowers started off the season slowly and suffered an injury which saw him spend time on the sidelines, which hurt many teams.
Geno Smith was playing the worst football he’s played in a long time as well, which spelled disaster for Bowers.
Bowers had his return game and had a point to prove, as did his QB.
Going forward the Raiders have found the key to their offence – get Bowers the ball.
I’m excited to see where he goes from here, and he’s on my radar.
This could be one of those if you don’t get on him now you won’t get on him again type plays.
Embed from Getty ImagesMcCarthy had one of the great quarters that we’ve seen by a rookie QB, but didn’t show us much else outside of that before he got injured.
He came back on the weekend and led the Vikings to a divisional win against the Lions.
McCarthy, for me, is someone that I think you need to look at for week 14 if you’re a Maye and Dart owner.
He’s a viable option to play for 1 week and draws a favourable matchup against the Commanders that week.
Why am I talking about a week 14 move now?
Because I feel as though JJ will continue to increase in price and not capitalising on his low price now may come back to haunt coaches in a few weeks’ time.
He’ll continue to make cash, and if you want, can probably get rid of him to upgrade to a better player in week 15 for the run home if you have enough trades left…
Embed from Getty ImagesThis may seem like a bit of a left-field pick here, but Stafford is having one of his best seasons to date.
Currently, he’s the 11th highest scoring SC player this season, and that’s after having his bye already.
He put up his lowest score of the season in week 6 of 18, which has affected him overall, however, 3 of his last 4 scores have all been over 50 points.
With Puka back and a newfound connection with star veteran Davante Adams, Stafford is primed for a big second half of the season and could be a great POD with his current 1% ownership in the league.
As per usual, I’m thinking about cash to use elsewhere, and if you can save a bit by changing to him and using that freed-up cash to upgrade to a premier RB or WR, this may be a move you want to consider.
Embed from Getty ImagesSimilar to Stafford, I’m liking the looks of Adams as a POD for the rest of the season and looking at how I’d be able to use the cash to upgrade other positions or players.
Adams’ numbers look inflated after the last 2 weeks, where he’s scored 5 TDs, but this looks to be more a case of Adams and Stafford finally building chemistry.
Stafford has had a situation before where he’s been able to feed multiple top-tier receivers and have them both remain fantasy and Supercoach relevant.
I’d be confident in running with Adams and Puka in my team for the rest of the season based on the high upside.
Embed from Getty ImagesOne of the best cheapies this year who has been serviceable for coaches all season.
Despite this, I think it’s time to bid farewell to Warren.
With a bye in week 12 and a high BE, Warren is going to lose more of the $7m that he’s made since the start of the season and may harm coaches who look to get rid of him during his bye week.
He’s been getting the targets and decent yardage; however, Daniel Jones seems happy to spread the ball around or just give it to Taylor to run over opponents.
With such a high ownership, the POD is to not have him.
Getting rid of Warren and upgrading to a premier player like Bowers or McBride is a great option.
Alternatively, downgrading to someone who sits on your bench at a much cheaper price and using the cash elsewhere seems to be the play here.

Pickens has been on this list before, but too many people have stuck with him, and it may come back to hurt.
After losing $1.7m last outing, Pickens is in line to lose a similar amount after the bye if he keeps his current form up.
There are better options out there for a similar price that have more upside, like an Adams or even a Tee Higgins.
I sound like a broken record, but Lamb is the man and will see the bulk of the targets in this offence.
Get rid of Pickens yesterday!
Embed from Getty ImagesRome is still owned by many coaches despite not putting up decent numbers since his apparent breakout.
As mentioned in previous articles, I bought into the hype and got on board, but sold last week to avoid losing more cash.
He put up a DNP in week 9, which I suppose you can be happy about, as he didn’t lose cash, but when your team scores over 40 points and you don’t have a single reception, you know something isn’t right.
A low BE this week, but a high chance he doesn’t even reach it.
Sell fast.
Embed from Getty ImagesBryce Young coming back is good for the Panthers, but not good for Tet.
Dalton has more upside as a thrower and seems as though he’d be better for Tet in the short term; however, for the team, developing Young and having him learn under centre is more beneficial.
Tet’s been a serviecable cheapie this year, but I feel we’ve seen his best for the year.
If you can stash him on your bench, great. If you have trades handy to go to another hot hand receiver, great.
I don’t think he’s a priority sell as he still has such a low BE, but now is the time I’d be looking at what else is out there to potentially give my team more success.
The emergence of Dowdle in the run game has also hampered his production, as the offensive identity has now changed to a more run-heavy scheme.
Embed from Getty ImagesIf you’re someone who’s getting rid of Mahomes to then bring him back in after your bye week, stop what you’re doing, go to bed with a mirror and wake up to yourself.
Mahomes is the number 1 player in fantasy, not named Jonathon Taylor.
Most people should have a QB on the bench who can substitute in this week and replace Mahomes during the bye.
If you don’t, get rid of the other guy and keep Mahomes.
At the start of the year, Allen and Lamar were the two must-haves at the QB position; however, Mahomes has come in and shown that he deserves to be in the conversation as well.
It’s one of the best seasons he’s ever had, and he’ll be returning after the bye knowing it’s on him to lead his team to victory in basically every game they play in order for them to make the playoffs.
That just screams points, points, points to me.
Don’t get rid of someone who is constantly great at this point of the year.
Embed from Getty ImagesThe Dallas offence has looked woeful over the last few weeks, and the bye is going to do them wonders.
The team has traded for a star defensive player in Quinnen Williams, who is going to help spark this team into action.
If the Cowboys D starts playing better and the team is playing from in front, expect the Cowboys to run the ball more often and see an uptick in Williams’ yards and TDs.
He’s still 5th for carries, 4th for yards and 3rd for rushing TDs this season.
Even with the bye this week, I’d be stashing him and waiting to see how he goes over the next 2 weeks.
If Dallas turns it around, expect Williams to be at the forefront of it.
Embed from Getty ImagesMy favourite guy to write about! Chase is the number 2 receiver in Supercoach as JSN is expected to surpass him this weekend.
That I despite having games of 12 and 9 in weeks 3 and 4 when Browning was the QB.
Since Flacco has arrived, he’s just fed Chase. The defence stinks, and they’re going to be in high-scoring games for the remainder of the season.
Getting rid of Chase is a luxury to me, as you need him for the run home.
Stash him and put someone else in this week because you’ll regret not having him going forward.
Embed from Getty ImagesLast week, I downgraded Roman Wilson to stash him on my bench for the rest of the season, and it went exactly as I planned.
He scored -3 points, but was on the bench, so didn’t contribute.
The other trade I made, which only happened because I brought in someone so cheap, was Skat to CMC, which worked out brilliantly for me.
I’m collecting the RBs I want now and can see a way forward, and am looking forward to how far I can hopefully climb by the end of the season.
I initially wasn’t going to trade this week as I had 9 left on the season; however, I’ve started my run towards the final shape of my team and ended up having to make two so that I’m not stressing over performances in the weeks to come.
Getting rid of Dart hurts a lot.
I didn’t want to do it, but he’s sitting on my bench making cash, which is good; however, that will stop at some point.
I was looking at what to do going forward, and I am worried about week 14, when Dart and Maye are both going to be on byes.
My fear is McCarthy will keep playing decent football and increasing in price quickly, and I may not get as much money back when I do the swap from Dart to McCarthy in, say, 3 weeks’ time.
Doing this now allows me to bank up cash for a potential trade in a few weeks’ time that gets me excited and ensures I get McCarthy at the lowest price he’ll be for a while.
Embed from Getty ImagesPart of the money I saved from the Dart trade allowed me to go Warren to Bowers.
Warren to me has plateaued, and I think we’re about to see the Bowers we all thought we were getting at the start of the year.
I tossed up getting rid of Ferguson, who is on the bye this week, but I think I want to run with Ferguson and Bowers for the remainder of the year.
My only concern is that Ferguson hasn’t had the greatest targets the last few weeks; however, I think that’s a result of the team being poor and not so much a reflection on him.
Also, having him around so that I can loop my captaincy if needed is a huge help as well.
Captain, this week I’ll be looking at a loop option.
I’ve currently got the C on CMC against the Rams.
He’s averaging almost 60 points against them in SC, with a lowest score of 41, and I think he will pop off once again.
VC is on Allen, who also averages high against his opponent, Miami.
My concern is he’ll get too far ahead and will get benched at some point in the 2nd half.
We shall see.
Best of luck this week with the byes.
I’ll catch you on the next one.
