Final Word Week 12 | NFL Supercoach Trades, Captains, PODs

Supercoach veteran Eden Richards gives his trade plans, captains, and PODs ahead of NFL Supercoach Week 12

NFL

Week 12 is here and it’s time for coaches to make their move.

Time is running out to bring in big guns for the run home, and by now you should have an idea of what you want your final team to look like.

For me, my big target is Christian McCaffrey (CMC), and I’ll be doing everything in my power to bring him in this week.

The past couple of weeks have shown just how important these top-priced guns are.

They can be the difference between scoring 450 or 600, especially if you play your cards right with captaincy.

Two weeks ago it was Jonathan Taylor who went off, and last week it was Josh Allen. You can almost guarantee we’ll see another Supercoach gun score 80+ this week and you don’t want to miss out.

So use those trades, make those big moves and even take a risk if you have to.

We’re heading into the business end of the season and you don’t want to die wondering!

Week 12 Trade Plans

I’d like to welcome CMC to Pump The Drakes.

His inclusion means I now have my starting running backs for the run home and I think it’s a starting four all coaches should be aiming for.

He joins Bijan Robinson, JT and Jahmyr Gibbs in my starting lineup, with emerging star TreVeyon Henderson the next man up on my bench.

The man who makes way for CMC is Javonte Williams, and I would encourage all Williams owners to trade him this week.

Dallas’ running back has done his job as a cash cow, making plenty of cash and scoring consistently.

However, his breakeven is now 47 and he is beginning to quickly drop in value.

He dropped in price by $890,000 last week and there’s a good chance he loses another $1 million in value this week when he comes up against the Eagles.

Philadelphia’s defence is an extremely tough match-up and it could be very painful viewing if you decide to hold Williams for another week.

The other trade I’m going to make is Drake London for Jameson Williams.

It pains me to trade London but he’s looking at multiple weeks out and he’s just lost quarterback Michael Penix Jr for the season.

Penix’s injury means Atlanta will be forced to start Kirk Cousins and this is terrible news for London owners.

London has struggled immensely with Cousins as QB and the numbers tell the story…

In the past seven games with Cousins as starter, London has only finished the week as a Top 20 wide receiver once…

He just doesn’t have the same production and unfortunately that means he has to go.

Williams will replace him in my team and I believe he is an absolute steal at $12,430,000.

His breakeven of 1 means he will rapidly rise in price this week and I’ll touch on why I think he’s a great buy in my POD segment later on…

Week 12 Captaincy Plans

I hit the jackpot captaining Allen last week, with the Bills QB scoring a whopping 89 points.

Since the pre-season we’ve been saying on the SC Playbook NFL Podcast that he is the must-have quarterback in Supercoach and he continues to deliver.

The early game means I’ll be avoiding him as captain this week, instead turning my attention to my newest acquisition in CMC.

CMC comes up against his old side this week and he will be very keen to put a major dent in the Panthers’ playoff chances.

The other captaincy option I’m tossing up is Jonathan Taylor against the Chiefs. I don’t need to spend too much time on JT as we’ve all seen what he’s done this season.

He’s going to be fresh off the bye and he’s every chance of emulating his 95 from the week before, but I’m still salty from captaining him when he scored his lowest score of the season in Week 9.

He put up 13 against the Steelers that week, and to make it worse I wrote in my weekly article that he was a great captaincy option…

I don’t want to be burnt again so CMC it is!

Week 12 PODS

Jameson Williams (WR) $12,430,000

Jameson Williams has emerged as a genuine Supercoach option in Detroit.

He has been outperforming teammate Amon-Ra St. Brown, averaging more than his star teammate over the past three weeks.

In fact, Williams’ 4-week average of 34 points per game puts him in the Top 6 wide receivers for that period.

He’s still priced on his slow start to the year, but that is quickly going to change with his breakeven of 1.

Williams is a great option as your 6 th or 7 th wide receiver and you can get him for a steal, but you have to act this week.

He’s scoring touchdowns for fun and his Supercoach prospects have only improved with head coach Dan Campbell taking over offensive play-calling duties.

Campbell has said he wants to continue to involve Williams and so far it is paying off.

Williams also has a great match-up against the Giants this week, with New York leaking the 4th most yards to receivers this season.

If you’re one of the 1% of coaches who own Williams you should be feeling very good about the run home.
