Basketball Forever founder and Fantasy veteran Alex Sumsky (87th overall) goes through the best Buy, Hold, and Sell options for week 10.
NBAEveryone’s favourite time of the week where I pretend to know what’s going to happen in the next 7 days of NBA Supercoach based on player form, injury news, upcoming schedules and an intimate knowledge of 2010’s basketball.
Is that all relevant?
Only time will tell.
Let’s take a look at the buy, hold and sell of NBA Supercoach week 10.

Nikola Jokić (DEN, C)
It’s nice to know that The Joker reads the column!
Last week we dared to put the big man on the Hold list after a couple of so-so weeks of Supercoach performance (in relative terms at least), well it’s fair to say he took that personally.
The last 7 days have seen a scarcely believable 33 points / 13 assists / 14 rebounds per game, including an absurd 56 point triple-double vs. Minnesota.
Yet again he will end up with more than 200 SC points, and the Nuggets have 5 straight weeks of 4 games coming up. Welcome back Nikola.
Jalen Brunson (NYK, PG)
It’s been tough to pinpoint the best Knick to have on your team at any given point so far this season with KAT, Bridges and Hart all getting a write up so far, and now it’s the little general’s turn.
It’s been an absolute heater of a fortnight for Brunson with averages of 34 / 7 / 4 and he’s still around the $15M mark which is pretty budget friendly for the return.
The Knicks head into back-to-back 4 week games, and with a couple of other big name guards seeing a slight drop off the time could be right to get Jalen in.
Keyonte George (UTA, PG/SG)
Keyonte very nearly made the Buy list last week, turns out that would’ve been a good move after he ranked 4th overall for the week in total Supercoach points (118). 26 points / 6 assists / 5 rebounds / 2 stocks per game over the last 7 days is only marginally ahead of his season averages, which is a pretty tidy return on a $12.3M player (at time of writing).
The Jazz do only play 3 games in Week 10 so it could be worth holding off for a week, but we did that last week and it cost us 118 points.
Anthony Black (ORL, PG/SG)
Let’s preface this by saying you’ll need to check the injury status of both Franz Wagner and Jalen Suggs for the week ahead before adding Anthony Black, as his recent performances are based on a heavy bump in usage.
That said, our man has cooked over the last week or so with numbers that read like All-Star behaviour – 26 points, 4.5 assists and 5.5 rebounds, good enough for a top 10 performance in Supercoach points.
Every week or so we get a breakout player that can swing a game week for savvy managers, and if he gets the minutes then this might be our one for Week 10.
Nickeil Alexander-Walker (ATL, SG/SF)
Correct, we did have NAW on the Sell list last week, but things change and we need to move with the times! Not only has Alexander-Walker continued to put up acceptable numbers since Trae’s return from injury, but there are now rumours that the Hawks are open to trading Young after previously ruling it out.
In terms of a Hold this one is a bit of a slow burner as a trade could happen at any point, or not at all, but if we see Nickel move back to the starting lineup at some point then he’ll absolutely be worth an add if you don’t already have him.
Kon Knueppel (CHA, SF/SG)
No one likes a sore Knueppel, but the red-hot rookie with 32% Supercoach ownership is due to miss at least one game this week with an ankle injury.
It has been a slightly quieter last few weeks for Kon in terms of production after his 114 point outburst back in Week 5, however he has one of the best ROI’s in the game with more than $5M in growth and we’re more than happy to sit tight for a week to see how things play out.
Matas Buzelis (CHI, SF/PF)
The Buzelis story reads quite similarly to that of Knueppel – another cheapie youngster that has just cooled off slightly this week off the back of a couple of scorchers, with 92 SC points in Week 7 followed by 72 in Week 8, but we’re down to 41 for Week 9.
Also carrying a minor injury that saw him leave in the 4th quarter of a game vs. Atlanta, he’s returned for games since then but not at the same level. His price tag to output ratio has earned him another week on the watchlist before taking action.
Kawhi Leonard (LAC, SF/PF)
As this article is being written The Claw is on his way to a career high 55 points against the Pistons, so the timing literally couldn’t be worse…or better depending how things turn out.
Kawhi still has a low ownership rate but his recent form is likely to see that change. While it seems unlikely a cyborg could be excited about Christmas, his last fortnight has seen averages pf 33 / 4 / 8 and to us that is a red flag!
The man has an extensive history of teasing fantasy owners with these kind of numbers before falling to the injury curse, and I’m here to say I’m not falling for it anymore!
The Clippers do have a 4 game week coming up before a 2-gamer in Week 11, so if you’re brave enough to ride it out for another week then more power to you.
Alperen Şengün (HOU, C)
We almost ditched the Rockets centre last week, had him as a Hold instead of a Sell, and he burnt us like a Christmas turkey.
A flaccid 57 Supercoach points is what we got for keeping the faith, and while that included missing a game through injury, the calf strain has a chance to see Sengun miss more time this upcoming week and to top it off Houston only have 3 games.
Hit the pine big fella, catch your breath and let’s talk again when you’re healthy.
Luka Dončić (LAL, PG)
There are some big names on the Sell list this week! We’re not afraid to make the big calls here, it doesn’t matter what it says on the back of your jersey.
Luka has had a fairly quiet week or so, dropping to less than 30PPG in the last 7 days, and the Lakers are heading into 2 x 3-game weeks in a row.
While there’s no plan for this to be a long term sell, there are just too many good guards available to commit $22M player who you might have doubts about.
