Eden Richards
NFL Fantasy and Supercoach veteran
Supercoach veteran Eden Richards gives his trade plans, captains, and PODs ahead of NFL Supercoach Week 18.
NFLCan you believe it? The final week of the NFL regular season is here.
It seems like only yesterday I was putting together my first column, eagerly awaiting the first game of the season.
Plenty has happened since that moment… The Chiefs’ dynasty is officially over, the Patriots and Broncos are back in the Playoffs, and NFL Supercoach has proven to be quite the challenge in its first season.
Injuries and byes have wreaked havoc, with many coaches burning through their trades a lot sooner than they would have hoped.

I am one of those people, using my final trade last week. In another world I would have a couple of trades saved for this week, with certain teams looking to rest their star players ahead of the Playoffs.
We’ll learn from those mistakes, and hopefully next year we’ll be back better than ever.
Now for the final time this season, let’s look at trades worth considering…

A major development has hit Supercoach and the NFL, with this week’s most traded in player ruled out.
Chris Olave has been on fire of late, averaging 47 over the past three weeks. His incredible form has seen his ownership rise to 8%, but unfortunately he will miss this week with a blood clot.
As I write this, I’m assuming Olave owners also own Puka Nacua, Ja’Marr Chase, Amon-Ra St Brown and Jaxon Smith-Njigba. If you don’t own any of these guys, then you should be doing everything you can to get them in.
If you have all these guys and you’re looking for someone to bring in as a straight swap for Olave, I’d be looking at Michael Wilson.
Wilson takes on the Rams this week and he absolutely cooked them when they met in Week 14, recording 11 receptions, 142 yards and two touchdowns.

This five-week average has him ranked as the #4 receiver over that period, putting him ahead of some of those Supercoach studs I mentioned above.
And if you’re worried about the Cardinals getting blown out and this impacting Wilson’s score, don’t be. He put up that huge performance in Week 14 despite losing 45-17.
The other guy I wanted to touch on is Derrick Henry. King Henry has been unstoppable and I’d be trying to get him in if you have the trades.
Only Bijan Robinson and CMC have outscored him over the past five weeks, with the Ravens’ offense having to continue to rely on his brute power from the backfield.
That was evident last week, with Henry rushing for 216 yards and four touchdowns. That’s 91 Supercoach points and yours truly had him on his bench… Ouch.

It looked like a perfect opportunity for Nacua to go BIG but the Supercoach Gods had other ideas…
It’s why I’m going back to someone I can count on this week – Josh Allen.
Allen had a quiet game by his standards in Week 17, and he still put up 46 points in a low-scoring contest against the Eagles.
This week he gets a dream match-up, facing an atrocious Jets defence in Buffalo.

The Jets were absolutely torched last week, letting Drake Maye throw for five touchdowns in three quarters of football.
Maye’s 64 is the type of score I’d expect to see from Allen this week, and I’ll be extremely disappointed if he doesn’t put the Jets to the sword.
However, there is a catch… He’s carrying a foot injury and there’s a small chance he’s rested.
If he is rested, I’ll be putting the C on Maye, with the MVP favourite set to have a field day against the Dolphins.
Either way, the VC will be going on CMC, with the 49ers playing on Saturday night (Sunday midday our time).
This sets up the perfect opportunity to loop, with San Fran playing a day earlier than most teams. Hopefully CMC can deliver the goods and lock in a score of 60+ before the final slate of games.

If you need a cheap TE, you could do worse than Chigoziem Okonkwo.
The Titans’ rookie has scored 26 points in back-to-back weeks, scoring two touchdowns and having 15 targets.
He’s only owned by 0.5% of coaches and looks a solid option if you need to get rid of Tyler Warren.
