Supercoach veteran Stephen Defries reveals his trades, captains and point of difference players to consider for NBA Supercoach week 11
NBACarnage!
Week 10 tested the patience of coaches as injuries, illness and rest plagued another week of NBA SuperCoach.
It all started with Joker going down in game one.
Not hugely impactful given everyone owns, but with the news he will be re-evaluated in 4 weeks, we now have decisions to make on how to distribute that 27 million.
From there, players went down like Joel Embiid around heavy breathing. Jalen Johnson, KAT, MPJ and George missed games with illness (a loophole for rest).
Then popular trade in Wemby went down with a knee injury and this is where things started to spiral as Giddey and Queen also went down.
‘The Closers’ managed to eke out a disappointing score of 839.
In positive news, however, we managed to move on in the SC Cup, which was nice.
Deni Avdija and Donovan Mitchell did the business amongst all the wreckage.
We moved back to 717th. It’s time to make a big move!

With news that Jalen Johnson would miss the first game of the week, many coaches traded him out to either Wemby or Giannis.
With 4 games this week, a move from Joker back to Johnson makes a lot of sense.
Reports suggest Wemby will travel with the team to Memphis in a strong indication he will play, that game isn’t until Wednesday, giving coaches plenty to ponder.
SGA was once again immense and is likely your safest captaincy option this week.
Giannis was another popular trade in; however, with a bad 2-week schedule and a minutes restriction, I wouldn’t be investing.
Maxey is finally back on a 4-game week and looks irresistible. A massive 132 in just 3 games is hard to look past. Welcome back!
Luka has 3 games this week, but ensure you have a plan to bring him in the following week as he has 5 games, yes 5!
Cade Cunningham is once again a sell if you haven’t already, with 3 and 2 games across the next fortnight.
Jamal Murray 🇨🇦 tonight:

With 22 teams on a 4-game week and 27 million to redistribute, the right midrange picks this week will have you flying up the rankings.
Donovan Mitchell has done the job for owners and can now be sold as he moves into a poor 3, 3 schedule.
Murray, Edwards and KAT remain strong buys.
Murray will bear most of the heavy lifting in Jokic’s absence.
This will be good for production; however, I do worry about the wear and tear.
Does he get a rest soon?
With Houston on back-to-back 4-game weeks, their trio of Sengun, Durant and Thompson come into frame.
Sengun left his last game with an injury, so I wouldn’t be going there.
KD is quietly averaging 31.7 over the last 4 weeks.
With games against weak Western Conference opponents coming up, this could be the play.
50+ steals.

50+ blocks.
Only one name: Scottie Barnes. 🔒 pic.twitter.com/TzyLHtNBOn
Scottie Barnes will be a popular purchase this week as he heads into 3 weeks of 4 games.
Averaging 33 over the last 2 weeks, including a 57-point explosion, this is a safe play.
What about Paolo Banchero! He top-scored for the week with 140 points. With 4 games this week and looking back to his best, he is a strong trade in.
Now two players for the risk takers – Kawhi Leonard and Zion Williamson.
We know the injury history, and we know the reluctance for their franchises to play them in back-to-backs. (They both have a back-to-back this week).
But both are balling right now. Kawhi looks like Kawhi again, and Zion is so healthy he recently played a back-to-back for the first time in 3 seasons.
Are we ready to be hurt again?

Out and out cheapies look hard to come by this week, but with Joker’s cash to play with, that shouldn’t be a problem.
Spencer Jones, Luka Garza and Caleb Love remain the best options.
JAYLEN BROWN DROPPED 50 TONIGHT 🤯

Jaylen Brown (BOS) – 4.7%
What a season Jaylen Brown is having. In the absence of Tatum, I questioned if he could step up, and boy, has he proved me wrong.
Exploded for 46 SuperCoach points in his last outing and is averaging 31 over the last 4 weeks.
This is a safe bet.
Lauri Markkanen UTA – 3.7% owned
Utah’s schedule makes Lauri relevant again.
Has missed some games recently, so not without risk, but the upside is very enticing.
LaMelo Ball (CHA) – 0.9% owned
Lamelo could explode on any given night for 50 SuperCoach points.
He could also give you a 6.
Catch him at the right time, and you are rolling.
Amen Thompson (HOU) – 0.6% owned
The player voted by GM’s the most likely to have a breakout season hasn’t quite achieved that yet, but he’s starting to look very comfortable.

Good (4 games this week)
