Niko’s Supercoach EPL Watchlist | Gameweek 22

Supercoach and EPL expert Niko, reveals who to watch, buy, hold and sell ahead of Supercoach EPL Gameweek 22

EPL

It was a bit of a nothing week for me only scoring 98, dropping in rank to 254, and losing my cup battle in the process.

In the end I left my trades very late to see how the week panned out, bringing in Gabriel and Mac Allister for Szoboszlai and van Dijk.

I opted against bringing in a donut to take the Haaland VC as I needed a hail mary to win my cup matchup, so went with Rice C and benched Timber, losing some points and rank there.

This week looks a sit and hold for my team.

Leaving myself on 11 trades and 2 boosts I need to be mindful of the upcoming blanks and double game weeks we’ll have in store.

As it stands, we’ll have a blank in GW31 (Carabao Cup semi’s) and GW34 (FA Cup semi’s), with possible doubles in GW26, 33 and 36!

If you haven’t been burning the trades like me let’s see what the best trade options are for this week.

Buy

Igor Thiago (£11.39M, Brentford FWD, B/E -21)

I thought Sunderland might’ve been tricky, but he’s come out and smashed it again.

I wouldn’t be buying into Chelsea away, I don’t think, but he’s playing so well and scoring from open play now.

Perhaps another penalty is around the corner with Chelsea’s love of a red card!

Matty Cash (£8.51M, Aston Villa DEF, B/E -2)

Back-to-back 14 pointers and three home games in the next four all very positive for the trade in.

Jurriën Timber (£8.41M, Arsenal DEF, B/E 5)

Nine of the next ten look great defensively on paper for the Gunners.

Just be mindful of a potential blank in GW31 and GW34.

Marcus Tavernier (£7.21M, Bournemouth MID, B/E 7)

With Semenyo gone and Kluivert injured he should now be on all penalties and free kicks.

Hold / Watch

Harvey Barnes (£6.65M, Newcastle MID, B/E -13)

He’s in some good form and taking the opportunity on the right with Murphy out injured.

There’s also fan talk of him taking the spot on the left permanently as Gordon has been rubbish.

Fixtures are fine and he’s a decent option, but Elanga and Murphy are likely back, and he may end up back on the bench despite his form.

Bruno Guimarães (£13.07M, Newcastle MID, B/E -2)

Surely he cannot keep this up.

He’s killing me in FPL and SC.

Jack Grealish (£6.92M, Everton MID, B/E -1)

Very funny second yellow for clapping the referee. Him in a nutshell.

Misses this week as a result but it’s Leeds at home after so hold him.

Antoine Semenyo (£7.69M, Manchester City FWD, B/E 13)

Wait and see how he settles in at his new club, but he could be a steal.

A start, goal and assist in his FA Cup debut match.

Marc Cucurella (£5.58M, Chelsea DEF, B/E 18)

Clear as day last man challenge red card.

Thankfully was on my bench but I think he’s a hold with Chelsea’s fixtures GW 24-27.

Points and trades over money lost.

Riccardo Calafiori (£8.42M, Arsenal DEF, B/E 13)

Only been out with a knock so if you’ve held him, keep doing so.

Return should be imminent.

Hugo Ekitike (£10.96M, Liverpool FWD, B/E 16)

Got himself back from injury and 30mins under the belt mid-week.

Should start Burnley so easy hold for owners but check the teams.

Cole Palmer (£7.60M, Chelsea MID, B/E 17)

If he can’t turn it around with this upcoming fixture run whilst on penalties he never will.

Easy hold and VC shout during this stretch.

Phil Foden (£9.80M, Manchester City MID, B/E 19)

I feel, hope, a haul is around the corner.

City need to start clicking up front very quickly with their defensive injury struggles.

They put 10 past their FA Cup opponents and he loves playing United with a 12.8 average against the rivals.

Rayan Cherki (£11.18M, Manchester City MID, B/E 25)

Don’t let one little rest in a condensed fixture period turn you off him.

Just need to watch how they setup with Semenyo now in the mix, but I think that should affect Silva more than anyone else.

Bruno Fernandes (£17.03M, Manchester Utd MID, B/E 34)

City and Arsenal next with that breakeven is a wait and see.

Grab him much cheaper in a few weeks.

Sell

Joško Gvardiol (£10.27M, Manchester City DEF, B/E 25)

Out with a broken leg and no return date set.

Must sell.

Rúben Dias (£9.07M, Manchester City DEF, B/E 15)

Not expected back until Feb 11 with his hamstring injury.

Switch unless you are close to running out of trades.

Patrick Dorgu (£9.73M, Manchester Utd DEF, B/E 10)

Well done if you held for the points gain last week but with AFCON players returning it’s time to go.
