Niko’s Supercoach EPL Watchlist | Gameweek 23

Supercoach and EPL expert Niko, reveals who to watch, buy, hold and sell ahead of Supercoach EPL Gameweek 23

EPL

I’ll take it.

No trades, a triple-figure score of 112 and a rank rise to 219.

I, once again annoyingly, got the Gabriel/Rice captain coin toss wrong, so there’s still scope for improvement.

Like last week, I think I’m conserving my trades and sitting on my hands.

Team looks solid with a projected score of 145.

Just need to keep a close eye on the Foden and Palmer injuries, as well as the Champions League mid-week.

Plus any announcements around blank and double game weeks!

Buy

Crysencio Summerville (£5.00M, West Ham FWD, B/E -7)

Playing with confidence, pace and creating plenty for his side from left midfield.

If the Hammers find a way to stay up, it will be because of him and Bowen.

You could play him in four of the next five games.

Souček is an even cheaper option.

Elliot Anderson (£7.50M, Nottingham Forest MID, B/E -1)

Baseline stat machine with 15 defensive contributions against Arsenal.

Still a threat from corners and on some set pieces too.

Jordan Pickford (£7.04M, Everton GKP, B/E 1)

Everton always finishes seasons particularly well and defensively solid.

Branthwaite back in training will only help.

Pickford pulled off some remarkable saves against Villa to keep the clean sheet and record the away win.

The England #1 is gearing up for the World Cup, and we may need to sell Raya in a blank game week.

Trevoh Chalobah (£6.32M, Chelsea DEF, B/E 1)

I really like him and wanted to trade him in last week for Cucurella, but couldn’t justify the trade.

If you need a defender, he’s a standout option with Chelsea’s upcoming fixture run.

Brian Brobbey (£5.81M, Sunderland FWD, B/E 1)

The black cat appears to be improving steadily every week.

West Ham and Burnley up next.

Kobbie Mainoo (£3.86M, Manchester United MID, B/E 1)

Back from injury and back in favour with a new manager, and Bruno playing further up the ground.

Good bench option at a bargain bin price.

Wish I had him over Mac Allister.

Enzo Fernández (£10.28M, Chelsea MID, B/E 13)

I like him for the next block of easy fixtures.

Great POD for those without Palmer, but I’ll be considering the double up as an owner.

Caicedo is another cheaper option to consider.

Hold / Watch

Patrick Dorgu (£11.09M, Manchester United DEF, B/E -9)

I’m very sorry if you sold him on my advice.

Came out and smashed it against City, no less.

How long will he keep the role is the question.

No way I’d buy him, but easy hold for owners.

Harvey Barnes (£8.22M, Newcastle MID, B/E -9)

Latest reports have Jacob Murphy missing a “period of time with a strange hamstring injury”.

This is great news for Barnes owners as it locks him on the right side in the front three, and he’ll switch to the left when Gordon gets subbed.

Anthony Elanga is no risk to his minutes the way he’s going.

Not a buy, however, due to the tough fixture block.

Cristian Romero (£8.58M, Tottenham Hotspur DEF, B/E -5)

Burnley this weekend, but take a look at the fixtures after that!

Both Manchester sides, Newcastle, and then Arsenal.

The way Spurs are going too… no thanks.

Marcus Tavernier (£7.880M, Bournemouth MID, B/E -1)

Was going to be a buy, but he came off with a hamstring injury.

We’ll need to wait and see what the scan reveals.

Marc Guéhi (£6.11M, Manchester City DEF, B/E 4)

Not sure why 37 people have traded him at the time of writing.

Will be updated to a City defender, and they need him to start right away.

Jarrod Bowen (£6.45M, West Ham MID, B/E 13)

Sunderland have had some poor games away from home, and the Hammers are having a little revival.

I can see him coming good.

Hugo Ekitike (£10.17M, Liverpool FWD, B/E 19)

A bit unlucky to come away with nothing against Forest.

He’s their main man up front, injury-free, and the Cherries give up a lot of chances.

Bruno Fernandes (£15.69M, Manchester United MID, B/E 16)

Don’t bring him in for Arsenal away, just wait a week.

The same goes with Mbeumo as an option.

Rayan Cherki (£9.16M, Manchester City MID, B/E 21)

I just don’t get it. He’s clearly their best attacking threat in my eyes.

Have a look at the teams and then decide whether to trade.

Wolves at home is too good if he’s starting.

The same goes with Foden.

Martin Ødegaard (£9.02M, Arsenal MID, B/E 21)

Subbing off before the 60 minutes is not ideal.

Arteta is playing funny buggers with team selection and subs at the moment.

If you brought him in as a cash play, it’s time to go, but if he’s your 4th or 5th mid, I’d just keep him.

Sell

Nick Woltemade (£5.50M, Newcastle United FWD, B/E 1)

Job sharing with Wissa, so he is not an option anymore.

Fixtures are tough too, so a good time to jump off.

Lucas Paquetá (£6.97M, West Ham MID, B/E 1)

Reports are that he’s set to leave for Brazil.

You could wait for more concrete news, but he’s been ordinary regardless.

Dominik Szoboszlai (£6.12M, Liverpool MID, B/E 15)

Trading him a few weeks ago was a blessing.

Missed a penalty against Forest, and with Salah due back, he’ll be off them and job-sharing with Frimpong at RB before too long.
