Niko’s Supercoach EPL Watchlist | Gameweek 27

Supercoach and EPL expert Niko, reveals who to watch, buy, hold and sell ahead of Supercoach EPL Gameweek 27

EPL

Just like when I finally smack a drive straight down the middle of the fairway, the next shot is usually bad.

I only managed to score 132 in the double gameweek, which saw me drop (not as much as I initially thought I would) to rank 242.

Benching Saka due to his injury concerns to play Rogers will haunt me for a while.  A 19-point swing right there. Ouch.

Four game weeks are to play out before the blank GW31 is upon us, coupled with some significant injuries and the potential for a disastrous upcoming GW34 blank, we need to keep our eye on the ball and keep on top of our potential trade-ins.

Buy

Rayan Aït-Nouri (£4.52M, Manchester City DEF, B/E -8)

Seems to have made his way into the City side recently, and we know the talent and scoring ability he has.

The only caveat is navigating the GW31 and GW34 blank game weeks.

Rayan (£5.11M, Bournemouth FWD, B/E -4)

A couple of Rayan’s straight off the bat.

The Brazilian has made quite the start at the Cherries, replacing Semenyo with three straight returns.

Seems nailed and a decent, cheap striker option for the rest of the season.

Virgil van Dijk (£9.14M, Liverpool DEF, B/E -2)

I urged to keep him, and he delivered for owners.

Now the fixtures open and I’m expecting Liverpool to finish the season very strongly.

Dan Burn (£3.55M, Newcastle DEF, B/E 1)

I obviously don’t love the away trip to Man City, but he should be good long-term if you need a cheap defender.

Best to alternate rather than relying on him, as the fixtures are hit and miss.

Antoine Semenyo (£9.38M, Manchester City FWD, B/E 5)

Cup tied and playing every minute of the Premier League.

Has been amazing adapting to a new Manager, style, and city.  Taking fewer shots than at Bournemouth, but they are now of higher quality.

City are also breathing down the Gunners neck.

Great pick if you can cover the blanks.

Dominik Szoboszlai (£10.53M, Liverpool MID, B/E 6)

Easily Liverpool’s best player in a season of transition, whether it’s in central midfield, up front, or at right back.

I think we’ll see him more centrally to finish the season with the emergence of Curtis Jones as an option at RB.

The set pieces alone keep him relevant and ticking over.

Igor Thiago (£8.98M, Brentford FWD, B/E 8)

A revelation to start the season, and I can see him finishing strongly also.

On penalties for a good side chasing European football, and the fixtures are elite.

Hold / Watch

Cole Palmer (£12.64M, Chelsea MID, B/E -19)

He’s scoring well, but that’s mostly thanks to people pushing João Pedro over.

It would be a scary proposition not owning him for Burnley at home, but if you can get past without too much damage, the Chelsea fixtures are ordinary in the run home.

Potential good option for Bruno G owners, otherwise, watch from behind the couch as a non-owner.

Phil Foden (£6.12M, Manchester City MID, B/E 3)

One goal and everyone wants to buy again.

I’m still not convinced Pep won’t continue to roulette with him.

Watching only, plus they will blank in GW31.

Bukayo Saka (£8.44M, Arsenal MID, B/E 4)

Another game where he limped off, but there’s optimism that the knee injury is only minor and he’s fine.

Showed his quality in the 10 role and even stacked the stats sheet with defensive contributions.

An elite player when right, and this new role is also elite and dangerous for non-owners. Watch the injury news.

Matty Cash (£8.75M, Aston Villa DEF, B/E 14)

Has missed the last two matches with a slight knee problem, but if I owned, I would hold in the hope he gets up for Leeds and Wolves in the next two.

They play first, so you’ll know if named.

Sell

Riccardo Calafiori (£6.44M, Arsenal DEF, B/E 23)

In terms of double gameweeks, it doesn’t get much worse than producing a -4 and £1.3M price drop.

Not convinced he’s the favoured LB anymore, so get ready for blank GW31 and sell now.

Bruno Guimarães (£15.08M, Newcastle MID, B/E 15)

Sadly injured, out for months, and doing everything he can to get to the World Cup in good shape. Must sell.

Viktor Gyökeres (£6.23M, Arsenal FWD, B/E 14)

If you went there for the double, it was a gamble and a huge miss.

With their upcoming blank, he should be straight out of your team.
