Quantium data analyst and Supercoach expert Harry West gives his blueprint to navigating blank gameweek 31, including who to target and when
EPLArsenal just had a double gameweek, and most of you are loaded up on their assets.
City managers are in a similar boat.
GW31 is coming, and Arsenal, City, Palace, and Wolves all blank.
You don’t have to trade now – but if you’re moving players anyway, there’s an incredible run of fixtures coming up worth targeting.
Use those trades wisely rather than making sideways moves you’ll regret.
Not all your Arsenal and City assets are equal.

Haaland, Rice, Gabriel, and Semenyo are season-long holds – don’t touch them.
But Foden, Saka, and Saliba are the ones to move first.
High ownership, blanking in GW31, and better options available.
I ditched Saka last week. Foden is gone this week.
If you’re still holding Saliba, that’s your next trade.
Here’s where to put that money.

Either they have an outstanding run between now and GW31, a standout GW31 fixture, or both.
Use this to start planning your trades and budgeting for who you want in that blank week.
| Team | GW28 | GW29 | GW30 | GW31 |
| Liverpool | WHU | WOL | TOT | BHA |
| Bournemouth | SUN | BRE | BUR | MUN |
| Brentford | BUR | BOU | WOL | LEE |
| Fulham | TOT | WHU | NFO | BUR |
| Man Utd | CRY | NEW | AVL | BOU |
| Aston Villa | WOL | CHE | MUN | WHU |
| Newcastle | EVE | MUN | CHE | SUN |
The bold fixture is your optimal entry point.
Four teams you want now, three you can wait on.
Liverpool have been building all season defensively, and the clean sheets are rolling in.
Van Dijk (£10.45m) and Konaté (£10.32m) are both great shouts at the back.
Embed from Getty ImagesWirtz (£9.88m) is coming back from injury, but West Ham, Wolves, and Spurs over the next three should bring good attacking returns.
Ekitike (£8.31m) can’t header the ball to save his life, but he’ll cause damage in those fixtures.
Szoboszlai (£10.91m) is one of my favourite mids – feels incredible when he rifles in a worldie free kick.
Hill (£12.29m) and Senesi (£7.95m) are set to feast with this Bournemouth fixture run.
Hill is averaging 14.4 over the last five, and I wish I’d backed my own analysis earlier.
Tavernier (£8.23m) was looking great before his injury – wait until he’s back to 90 minutes.
Embed from Getty ImagesRayan (£5.97m) could be Semenyo 2.0. He passes the eye test and could do real damage against Sunderland or Burnley.
Brentford has my favourite fixture run on this entire list.
Yes, they lost 2-0 to Brighton; inconsistency is part of the deal.
But Thiago (£8.72m) is a beast and on penalties.
His goals have been down recently, but his xG is still screaming value.
I brought him in last week, and I’m backing him.
Embed from Getty ImagesSchade (£6.54m) should be back starting and is great value.
Dango (£10.33m) is top dollar but could score a brace in any of these fixtures.
Wilson (£8.46m) is the only Fulham target you need.
He was £14.4m earlier this season when he went on a run – I’m backing him to do it again.
Legit captain option in GW31 against Burnley at home.
Embed from Getty ImagesYou should already have Bruno Fernandes (£14.16m).
If you don’t, that’s your priority.
For your second United slot, I’d hold off on Mbeumo (£10.49m) for now – Liverpool and Brentford forwards are the better immediate play.
Come back to Mbeumo closer to GW31.
Villa – I’m not fully convinced on anyone yet, but Rogers (£7.51m), Cash (£8.46m), and Watkins (£6.72m) are all options.
Watch who’s in form over the next few weeks before committing – that WHU fixture in GW31 is too good to ignore completely.
Embed from Getty ImagesThiaw (£7.89m) is my Newcastle pick.
I’ve been a fan for a while, and Newcastle at home to Sunderland in GW31 is a clean sheet waiting to happen.
Wait, watch, then pull the trigger.
Foden is gone this week, Wilson comes in as I don’t have the cash for Dango.
Hoping to get a price rise on Wilson before the masses get him in 31.
Haaland, Rice, and Gabriel are staying all season – not up for discussion.
Embed from Getty ImagesRaya and Timber both have great fixtures in GW29 and GW30 before the blank, so I’m holding them until GW31 to move out.
They’ll earn their keep right up until the blank hits, then out they go – leaving me with a complete side for that week.
GW31 is only around the corner.
Count how many blankers you’re currently holding, work out how many trades you have left, and map out which of the above you’re targeting and when.
The fixture map above is your guide – use it.
