Everything from breakevens to most traded, injuries to captaincy decisions, this is your one stop article ahead of AFL Supercoach round 5
AFLThe first month of Supercoach is now behind us, and it was nothing short of chaotic.
Injuries on injuries on injuries, sprinkled in with some suspensions, and of course, the complete carnage that the major bye rounds brought.
Luckily for us, we won’t have to deal with byes again until round 12.
With so many Supercoach managers still scrambling to build a balanced side they are happy with, we are set for yet another big week of trading…

The Pies were rocked by the late withdrawal of Nick Daicos. Will Ashcroft (139) was immense, and Coleman (113) continued his resurgence.
An overall quiet Supercoach game for North and Blues players, with mid-priced McKercher (107) putting in a rollercoaster performance and Sheezel (97) underwhelming.
Most premos performed well in a nail-biter between Adelaide and Freo, with Clark (52) the exception. McAndrew (123) had a big night.
Butters (114) was okay. A Richmond rookie fired in Grlj (90), while a Port rookie flopped big time in Watkins (7).
The big boys from Sydney stood up with Grundy (184) and Heeney (156). Serong (126) the rookie also stood up.
Demons surprised the Suns, led by none other than Gawn (175), Steele (147), and Pickett (126).
The Bont (153) delivered as hoped, while English (79) succumbed to injury. Roberts (136) and Merrett (116) were impressive in a losing side.
A special treat of an Easter Monday game, with Baz (118), Holmes (112), Macdonald (112), Stewart (111) and Bruhn (92) all putting in a solid shift.

We have made it to Gather Round, and for the first time since Gather Round last year, I can say that I am jealous of those in Adelaide this weekend!
Gather Round will kick off at 7:40pm AEST, Thursday, the 9th of April, with Adelaide hosting Carlton, both teams in desperate need of a win.
Another bit of good news that Gather Round brings is that we will see all 18 sides in action for the first time this season!
From a footy perspective, it does not get much better than the double-header on Saturday of Sydney vs Gold Coast, followed by Hawthorn vs the Dogs.
The obvious game to target from a Supercoach perspective is Geelong vs West Coast, where the Cattery will be hoping for a dominantnant victory.

Embed from Getty ImagesBreakevens are the score required for the player to either make money or lose money.
Price changes will occur after players have played three games, as they are based on a player’s 3-week average.
Generally speaking, when looking at who to trade in, heavily consider the players with low breakevens, as they will help make your team money.
Similarly, if you have some players with high breakevens in your team, maybe it’s time to consider cutting ties to ensure your team doesn’t lose too much value.
