Oscar Henderson gives his trade plans, captains, and PODs ahead of NFL Supercoach Week 6
NFLAs we now approach week 6 of the NFL Supercoach season, I think it is safe to say things are starting to calm down a little.
By that, I mean we now have a much better sample size to judge the roles of different players and are being dealt with fewer surprises than at the start of the season.
We still are facing some obstacles though, in the form of byes and seemingly continuous injuries to highly-owned Supercoach options.
For me this week, it’s Omarion Hampton, last week, it was Bucky Irving and Lamar Jackson, and then Malik Nabers and CeeDee Lamb earlier in the season.
On an overall note, however, I am very happy with how my team is coming together.
Currently ranked 184th overall, I am hoping a couple of good captaincy choices and sit vs start decisions can help get me closer to that elusive top 100.
Without further ado, here is my final work ahead of NFL Supercoach week 6.

Why do I mention this?
Well, one of my trades this week has already been locked in.
Yes, like many other Supercoach managers, I traded in Jaxson Dart this week at the expense of J.J. McCarthy.
Although I had him on my bench, it was once again promising signs from the Giants’ rookie QB, who put up a very solid 46 points.
He is about to make a ridiculous amount of cash as he currently sits at $4.3m with a breakeven of -50.

I am also aware that Josh Allen is on the bye next week, so I am going to have to play Dart in my side.
Unfortunately, he comes up against the slightly terrifying Broncos defence next week.
I would be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous, but honestly, it is only one week, and I still back Dart to put in a decent score with his dual-threat ability.
So yes, that was one of my week 6 trades: McCarthy out for Dart.
At this stage, I think it might be my only trade for the week as well.
There are a few reasons for this.
I like how my team is looking for this week, and there is no one I feel as though is a must trade in, so the rule of thumb is if you are not sure, you may as well save the trade for when you might really need it.
Additionally, cash generation has not been hard to come by at all, so I don’t feel like I need to worry too much more about that at this stage.

Here is one move I am considering…
Darren Waller is the most trade in player this week and I am also considering brining him in at my bench TE spot for Harold Fannin Jr.
Although Waller might bring some faster cash generation, as already mentioned I am not too concerned with that.
In terms of scoring, I think it is a sideways move, and not a move I have to make as I plan on playing my other two TE’s in McBride and Warren every week.
This does mean I will hold on to Omarion Hampton, which is not ideal as he has been placed on IR and ruled out for at least a month.
However, there is no downgrade option screaming my name, and I already have four good running back options playing this week so no need to move now.

So far this season I have managed to nail some of my captaincy options, but have also flopped with some others.
For me this week, it comes down to Josh Allen vs Jayden Daniels.
I am absoutley spewing that they are both playing within an hour of each other on Tuesday so I can’t VC one and C the other.
Allen is, as always, the safe option and the option most top Supercoach sides will go with.
He comes up against the Atlanta Falcons, who boast a decent pass defence, but honeslty I am not too worried with them stopping the Bills offence.

I brought Daniels in last week to replace Lamar, and that was a risk in itslef being his first game back from his knee injury.
He played solidly, against a strong Chargers defence, and scored 33 (albeit saved by a last minute touchdown pass).
His matchup this week against the Chicago Bears is about as good as it gets, as I expect a high-scoring shootout.
However, I could also see the Bills vs Falcons game turn into a shootout in itself.
If I had to choose now I would probably take the safe option in Allen.
Daniels is already a POD for me, and I don’t know if I quite have the balls to double down on him just yet.

For my vice captain this week it will probably be Puka Nacua vs the Ravens or CMC vs the Bucs.
Although it would take a massive score for me to consider looping this week as it would involve sacrificing either Odunze’s or Egbuka’s score.

Yes I know, its probably not a name you think would fit under the POD category, but after a poor start to the season, Drake London has fallen to just 8% ownership amonst top Supercoach sides.
Coming off the bye, London is averaging just 21.3 on the season.
However, if you have been watching the Falcons you know this can be accreddited more towards Penix’s early season struggles rather than London himself.
London is also coming off his best game of teh season to date where he recorded 8 catches, for 110 yards, a touchdown and 42 precious Supercoach points.
This is the player we saw at the end of last season, and the player most of us were expecting to start this season as well.
He is still the alpha reciever on this Falcons team, and I would not be surpised at all if he suddenly turns it on.
I understand if you do not want to take the risk and go early, but one to keep an eye on nonetheless.

With so many good options at the running back position, Jacobs has managed to fly under the radar.
Currently just 5% owned amongst top teams, the Green Bay running back could be a genuine trade in option if you wanted to be a bit different.
Jacobs is also coming off the bye, but before that was his best performance of the season where he racked up 59 Supercoach points on the back of 2 touchdowns.
That is honeslty his biggest selling point, his touchdown ability.
I saw a graph that showed the goal line attempts per game for running backs, and two players stood out from the rest.
One was Jonathan Taylor, the current RB1 in Supercoach, and the other, Josh Jacobs.
With his touchdown ability, Jacobs could be a genuine shout as a POD option for our Supercoach sides.
