Supercoach veteran Eden Richards gives his trade plans, captains, and PODs ahead of NFL Supercoach Week 15
NFLThe bye weeks are over, and it’s time to buy!
We’ve been building to this moment all season, and hopefully you’re looking at your team post-byes and feeling pretty good about it.
This game is all about timing your run.
I started the season slowly, but I’ve been building, and I’m now on the verge of the top 1,000.
I’m confident I’ve got my starting running backs sorted, and my addition of AJ Brown last week has me feeling pretty good about my wide receivers.

The one position I’m umming and ahhing about is tight end.
Like many coaches, I own Tyler Warren, and this is not good news following the injury to Daniel Jones.
The Colts’ QB situation is so bad that they’ve just signed 44-year-old Philip Rivers.
He hasn’t played since COVID, and he’s a grandpa. Talk about desperate.
This does not bode well for Indi’s offense, and they’ll be featuring prominently in my trade plans…

Jones is gone for the season, Richardson isn’t returning any time soon, and their season is suddenly on a knife’s edge.
All of this means 3rd-string QB Riley Leonard will start this week, and this is not good news for coaches.
If you have the trades, I’d be trading any Colts player not named Jonathon Taylor.

Unfortunately, I own both, but I can cope with Pittman Jr. sitting on my bench for another week.
Warren, however, needs to go.
He has only scored 20 points or more once in his past six games, and his production isn’t going to get any better with the change at QB.

Fannin Jr. has been a huge beneficiary of Shedeur Sanders’ inclusion at QB, having 197 yards, two touchdowns, and 15 catches in his past three games.
His three-game average is comparable to Supercoach gun Trey McBride, and at $9,450,000, he is very affordable.
All of this makes him a good swap for Warren.
If you were looking to trade Pittman Jr. and you can find a few million, you could do worse than Christian Watson.
He’s hit some form at the Packers, and I’ll tell you more about him later on in the column…

His 75 was the top score for the week, rewarding coaches who left the C on him.
I originally had the C on Allen, but Jahmyr Gibbs’ 66 was too good to ignore.
Gibbs, of course, played the early game on Friday, meaning coaches who had the VC on him could loop him in as captain.
I did just that, but I did have some slight regret while watching Allen put on an absolute clinic.
So, what to do this week?
Allen has been up and down, but coaches who have left the C on him have been rewarded throughout most of the season.
I think that’s what I’ll be doing this week.
He faces a tough Pats defence in a hugely important game, and I expect him to put the Bills on his back and drag them over the line.
That hurts to write as a Patriots fan, but I have nothing but respect for Allen and the way he plays the game.
The best thing about Allen as a captaincy option is that even when he’s having an off night with his arm, you just know he can make a big play with his legs at any moment.
Embed from Getty ImagesIf you’re still not sold on Allen this week, the other player I’d strongly consider putting the C on is Christian McCaffrey.
CMC faces a horrible Titans team, and he could go very, very big.
My only concern is that he’s been dealing with illness this week, so make sure you keep an eye on that.

Packers fans already know this, but if you aren’t aware, Watson is putting together quite a season.
Watson has quickly become a favourite target for Jordan Love, and he’s completely changed the dynamic of Green Bay’s offense since returning from injury in Week 8.
He’s a genuine deep threat, and he’s making big plays when it matters.
Over the past three weeks, Watson has averaged over 30 points per game, and he’s certainly underpriced when you consider that output.
He could be a bargain buy for the run home and a great point of difference.
He’s owned by only 1.3% of coaches, and I think that talks to how underrated this guy is.
If you’re looking to get rid of a Pittman Jr. or a Jaylen Waddle, then Watson is a great option.
