AFL Supercoach 2026: Final Word – Round 7

Journalist and Supercoach expert Charlie Dadds reveals his trades, captains and point of difference players to consider for round seven

AFL

Finally!

Some semblance of a successful team – one capable of putting up respectable scores now and then.

Halle-f**king-lujah.

Round 6 was a mixed bag headlined, entirely, by big Zane Zakostelsky being a LATE IN and potentially ruining an astronomical amount of captaincy loops.

Despite being a ZZ owner myself, I managed to avoid the chaos thanks to my absolute BOY (and odds on worst trade-in of the year) Christopher Scerri offering up a serviceable DNP.

Heading into Round 7, it is well and truly upgrade season with rookies ripe for the picking and underpriced premos galore.

Let’s get in to the Final Word.

Trade Talk

Now, this is going out on a Saturday (work this week was cooked) so let’s scrap Grlj, Jaques, Sellwood and Serong from discussions (although I have already committed to the Serong trade, and yes I did see he pumped out a 92 FML).

Other than those three I’ve just mentioned, we’ve got the likes of Jagga Smith,, Mattaes Phillipou and Jack Carroll all plump enough to warrant a trade.

I always prefer on-field scoring potential, so if there is a world where you can afford to hold Jagga, do it.

Luck, apparently, is not on my side.

My dream trade this week leaves me $1k short by parting ways with Grlj.

So, to find the extra $1k, Jagga is on the chopping block.

In terms of premos, I’m all about the value – looking at the guys who have fallen so far in price they can’t possibly fall any lower.

Jordan Clark has bottomed out at $524k after pumping out a 146 – $44k down from his staying price.

Lachie Whitfield sits at $555k – again $44k down from his original price.

Touk Miller’s a whopping $72k down at $514k.

The last one catching my eye is Nas who will cost $559k and has a breakeven of 128 – which he is ever chance of reaching with a matchup against the Eagles.

I’m strapped for cash as it is, and I’ve been burnt way too many times before by Elijah Tsatas so he’s scrapped from my plans.

Jagga Smith -> Angus Anderson

Serong -> Jordan Clark
