Supercoach and EPL expert Niko, reveals who to watch, buy, hold and sell ahead of Supercoach EPL Gameweek 38
EPLWe’ve made it; the marathon finish line is just ahead.
Congratulations if you’ve seen it out and your team isn’t a ghost ship; it wasn’t easy at times.
Personally, there’s been a lot of learning, but I’m happy with my current rank of 74. I’m hoping I can see another green arrow in the final round.
With the title race done and dusted (congrats Arsenal fans), and only one relegation battle, teams could be an absolute bloodbath.
My tip, be awake at midnight Saturday night/Sunday morning and change your formation so you have a full side on the park.

Enzo Fernández (£9.33M, Chelsea MID, B/E -7)
He was involved in everything good for the Blues in the win over Tottenham, and they need to win again to play European football next season.
William Osula (£8.80M, Newcastle FWD, B/E -1)
The new Newcastle #9 is in scoring form and dancing form. I can see him bagging another goal away to Fulham, who haven’t been great lately.

If someone is going to spoil the party for the Hammers, it’s probably this guy. Whilst they have nothing to play for, they do seem to want to finish the season as high as they can, and there’s no doubting he plays for the better team here.
Richarlison (£8.64M, Tottenham Hotspur FWD, B/E 4)
Motivation is huge in the final week, and Spurs have plenty of that. I can already picture him scoring what he thinks is the match-winner, taking his shirt off, getting a yellow, and then conceding in the last minute and being relegated.

A bit of a throw at the stumps, but a date with Wolves at home is perfect as a gamble. Jaidon Anthony is another option, albeit a little more expensive.
Pedro Porro (£10.01M, Tottenham DEF, B/E 16)
Huge game at home to Everton to stay in the Premier League. If they win, I’m sure this guy will be involved somehow.
Mohamed Salah (£7.83M, Liverpool FWD, B/E 17)
His farewell at Anfield and in front of The Kop. I’m pretty sure he starts despite his public criticism of the coach. Cody Gakpo (£8.39) is another option.

Another with big motivation, and he’s the club captain. Home to Leeds, who have nothing to play for, is a good fixture, and I expect him to do well. Maybe even put a high-pressure penalty away. Mavropanos is a good shout too if you need a defender.
Erling Haaland (£11.86M, Manchester City FWD, B/E 0)
I think he probably starts in what is likely Pep’s last match at the Etihad. Check the teams for Semenyo and co as well, and trade, or adjust formation, accordingly. Marmoush at just £6.5M could be in line for a start.

Check the teams with this one, but he was out last weekend with a knock. If he’s fit and starting, I expect him to give a little FU to the Brazilian Manager and play well.
Igor Thiago (£10.18M, Brentford FWD, B/E 15)
Liverpool have been shipping goals of late, so I’m happy holding and starting the Brazilian, who will be full of confidence, gaining his first World Cup call-up.

A week after I recommended buying him, he’s in the sell-out section. I didn’t see that benching coming, and there’s no guarantee he’s starting in the final round either.
Rayan Cherki (£9.46M, Manchester City MID, B/E 19)
Kovacic came out of nowhere to start at the expense of Cherki. That was very strange from Pep in a must-win match. The last time Kovacic started was 12 months ago against Bournemouth again, where he saw red. Again, very strange, and you probably need to sell Cherki as something is just not adding up for me here.

Has completely checked out of Fulham, it seems, and I’d expect another benching this week as the manager and team look forward to next season.
Antoine Semenyo (£7.73M, Manchester City FWD, B/E 7)
An early sub in a must-win match is not a great sign going into this dead rubber.
