Declan Creek
2019 SC Classic overall champion
Former NRL Supercoach champion Dez Creek gives his final word ahead of NRL Supercoach round 14, including his trade and skipper plans
NRLAfter knocking out a mediocre 1223 last weekend, Turbo Irvo fell a few hundred ranks to 1737th overall; however, I’ve managed to avoid lots of the injury chaos by not owning Hynes or Twal, which most teams in front of me own.
Despite having only 17 trades left and fairly good team depth/bye coverage for the month ahead, I’m going to remain on the attack because why the hell not.
St George got up for the miracle win at Suncorp last week, but I simply can’t see them doing it again.

Sharks players are the ideal trade-ins for mine this week, especially with the added bonus of playing all mini and major byes going forward.
Tricky Trindall carved up Manly for 118 points last week and has the goalkicking while Nicho is out.
Owned by just 3.6% of the top 1%, he becomes a near priority trade-in for me.
It’s definitely a gamble as we don’t know exact injury timelines, but he should score well and make enough cash for a straight swap to Fletcher Sharpe in round 18 if need be.

I like him much less than someone like Kayal Iro, who has elite base and power.
However, Ronnie has the ability to go absolutely huge in a round like this and boost you hundreds or thousands of spots up the leaderboard if you can catch the falling knife.

Lock and load the C on Terrell while Twal is out; should average near 100.
If you already own Terrell, then Toby Couchman is the next best thing.
Isaiah Papali’i is also a very solid shout with upside if you’re looking to zig zag from the pack.

Taine Tuaupiki continues to impress at fullback for the Warriors and, despite having the bye this week, is a very solid trade-in for rounds 15, 16 and 17 coverage.
The base and power is elite, and attacking stats should be ripe for the picking against the defences of Cronulla, Cowboys and Dolphins respectively.
In second row, Kai Pearce Paul and Dylan Lucas are the prime targets and are out-and-out the best two 2RF for the season.
They rarely score under 70, and both have huge upside.

I’ll personally be VCing Walsh to see if he can make amends for last week’s underwhelming performance with a big bounce-back ton against the Titans.
Cleary or Terrell May will get the C for what is almost guaranteed tons if Walsh is unable to find a loopable score.
Trades:
Jaxon Purdue > Braydon Trindall
Captains:
VC: Reece Walsh
C: Terrell May
