AFL Supercoach 2026: Final Word – Round 15

Supercoach expert Charlie Dadds gives his final word ahead of AFL Supercoach round 15, including his trade and skipper plans

AFL

It’s over.

Whatever season I had – whatever season I was going to have – It’s now completely wiped out.

Archie Roberts out with a shoulder.

Bailey Smith out with sickness.

Ugh. Here’s the final word.

Trade Talk

We’ve hit a tricky point in the year where trades have now become scarce. I, for instance, only have six heading into this week and it looks like I’ll need to use all three available to make it through.

Roberts dislocated his shoulder against the Dees and is set for a stint on the sidelines after a meeting with his surgeon. While surgery isn’t confirmed, I can’t imagine the Bombers will be in too much of a rush to bring him back in given they’re in prime position for the top draft pick.

He is, unfortunately, a trade-out. But thankfully we’ve got an abundance of options putting their hand up for selection.

I’m looking at a pair of underpriced Giants named Lachie, who have had their bye, and who are set to fire against Carlton this weekend.

Ash and Whitfield are my top two targets ahead of Round 15, it’s just a shame I can’t split the two. Flip a coin!

Nas is a popular trade-in this week, but I can’t bring myself to do it with the bye next week. You’ll get more total points from the Giants duo – or John Noble – for the rest of the season.

If you do happen to have enough trades left in the bank, I genuinely don’t mind the idea of trading Bailey Smith out.

He’ll obviously miss this week, but then has the bye next week. If you’re on the precipice of the top 1000, or looking to get ahead of your Head-to-Head league, I think this could be a season-defining move. Just make sure you can find a way to eventually bring him back in.
