Declan Creek
2019 SC Classic overall champion
Former NRL Supercoach champion Dez Creek gives his final word ahead of NRL Supercoach round 16, including his trade and skipper plans.
NRLIt’s clear that Turbo Irvo needs to make some drastic changes in order to get some green arrows flowing, much like NSW.
A disappointing 858 saw me drop to 3812th overall and more importantly, get overtaken on the rankings by the Supercoach Spy.
Despite this minor disaster my team looks in decent shape for the run home with lots of unique players to the teams around me which is either gonna be really good or really bad for the run home – time will tell.
Tom Trbojevic has been named to play fullback for Manly after 10 weeks on the sidelines from a torn hamstring.
If you are inside the top 1000 I would heavily advise against buying him, however if you’re unhappy with your ranking like myself and can see Fozball and Turbo manifesting into greatness then you can definitely ignore the hamstring part and zero in on the opportunity.

Haumole Olakau’atu is the week’s most traded player, and for good reason. Fozball = Olaball and there’s no doubt about it.
We have a big enough sample size now to say with some certainty he gets way more ball and therefore has a way higher ceiling than we’ve seen in previous seasons. Keep in mind he definitely comes back into the NSW team for game three so you lose him for that round, however the 150+ ceiling is there and therefore he is a borderline must-own.
Speaking of must own, Nicho Hynes is highly likely to return this week for the Sharkies and he could come back with a bang – as he so often does. Six tons through ten games he will be crucial to own come endgame, but a crucial bye next round has me pushing the brakes.
Nathan Cleary has been ruled out – alongside Isaah Yeo and Brian To’o – after being brutalised in Origin whilst carrying a pain tolerance injury. If both Hynes and Cleary are out and you have no reserve halfback, don’t panic – just take the AE alongside thousands of other people and don’t burn any valuable trades.

There’s actually not that many players to be burning trades over at all during the next few weeks. Herbie Farnworth and Thomas Jenkins are about the only two guys who are worth lighting the match for right now.
I’ve glazed Herbie enough this season but he keeps on producing, it truly could be the best CTW season of all time and the 92.2 average through 12 games speaks for itself, I’m not taking the Captaincy off him anytime soon, truly god tier stuff.
Silky Milky is the other guy who is crippling non-owners seasons, myself included. Much like Farnworth he just keeps on delivering as has the durability and talent to continue his trajectory towards possibly the highest try scoring season of all time in the modern era (AJs 30 tries in 2021 and 2022) or close to it.

Kai Pearce-Paul suffered a season ending injury and unfortunately must be sold. I’ll be downgrading to Tony Sukkar in order to get the funds to finally move Ethan Sanders out of my team, with Jayden Campbell moving up to reserve halfback and Turbo coming into flex.
Sukkar looks a decent enough buy for effectively bottom dollar ($241.2k) but there’s obvious risk he becomes an AE nightmare in a month’s time. Like I said earlier, my appetite for risk has increased drastically now that my ranking is slipping.

If you’re a Dylan Edwards owner/buyer then he is also a fantastic option and should carve up the Titans for an easy 100+ score.
Kai Pearce-Paul > Tony Sukkar
Ethan Sanders > Tom Trbojevic
VC: Greg Marzhew
C: Herbie Farnworth
