Supercoach expert Charlie Dadds gives his final word ahead of AFL Supercoach round 22, including his trade and skipper plans
AFLWe need to talk about Christian Petracca.
The mind boggles when it comes to the “star” Sun, who began the year like the Petracca of old having secured a move away from the Dees.
All looked right in the world – as though our beloved forward premium had risen from the dead like Jesus himself.
But then he got injured.
And then, when he returned, he continued pumping out tonnes.
But then the bye came.

And then, since returning from the bye, he has managed just two tonnes in nine games.
In the last month alone, he’s averaging just 65 points…
My point is simple: if you have a trade left, use it on Christian Petracca.
I’m out of trades personally, but thank goodness for Marcus Herbert and his delicious premium scores.

Jagga Smith is flying under the radar as a rookie turned premium option, largely because everyone must have traded him out already at his bye. But, as luck would have it, the Rising Star favourite is looking every bit deserving of the award with a five-round average of 110.
Chad Warner has completely flipped his 2026 script, with a sensational back-half of the year thus far. Since Round 12, he’s dropped under 90 only once.
