EPL

I’m not sure if I am a fan of these extended three-week-long international breaks that seemingly feel like 3 months, but anyway, the Premier League action finally returns this weekend!

The international break was not without drama, with many Premier League superstars going down with injury, as concerns about the busy footballing schedule continue to rise.

For others, it was a chance to carry their hot form onto the international stage and keep in fine touch, ready for the next batch of Premier League games.

Gameweek 5 Talking Points

Most of us probably don’t even remember what happened in Gameweek 5, so here is a quick recap for you, and let’s just say there were some weird results:

A Joao Pedro-less Chelsea side got stung by the bees, as Brentford triumphed 3-0. Chelsea were held scoreless for the first time this season, while Brentford continued their hot form.

Tottenham managed to score their first two goals of the season, but not until it was too late and they were already down 3-0 to Villa. Manzambi shone in his first start with a goal and an assist.

Brighton absolutely battered Arsenal!!?? An incredible display of football from the soaring Seagulls to stun the reigning champions. Is this Brighton team legit???

Managers flocked to Forest players for their dream-like fixture against Coventry at home. Of course, Coventry came out and won 1-0.

Finally, it was an absolute goal-fest in Manchester, with City defeating Sunderland 5-3. Everyone was in the goals, including a hat-trick from Brian Brobbey.

Gameweek 6 Fixtures

Gameweek 6 will kick off at 10:30pm AEST on Saturday the 10th of October, with Arsenal hosting Leeds.

There is no obvious fixture to target this weekend, with Arsenal’s battle with Leeds expected to be a close one, while Manchester City and Liverpool face off in a blockbuster clash.

Brighton will look to continue their astonishing form against Sunderland, while Chelsea will be desperate to bounce back against Bournemouth.

The pick of the fixtures is probably Newcastle vs Coventry, as Newcastle try to keep their season track.

Breakevens

Breakevens are the score required for the player to either make money or lose money.

When looking at who to trade in, heavily consider the players with low breakevens, as they are likely to rise in price.

Similarly, if you have players with high breakevens in your team, it could be time to consider cutting ties to ensure your team doesn’t lose too much value.
