NFL Supercoach expert Oscar Henderson goes through talking points, injuries, breakevens, trades, and more ahead of Week 6
NFLWelcome back to The Blitz. Here we recap the last week of crazy NFL action and look ahead at the week to come, all through an NFL Supercoach lens, of course!
Drake Maye has retired from Subway and returned to being an elite NFL QB
Full credit to the boys on the poddy for calling this one; hopefully you all listened and brought Drake Maye in for his 78-point masterclass against the Raiders! I certainly wish I did.
It is crazy how quickly things change in this league. After a shocking first 3 weeks of the season that included losing his WR1, he has completely turned the corner and returned to the elite QB we saw last season.
Full of confidence after beating division rival Bills, Maye put on an absolute clinic which included 4 passing touchdowns, 1 rushing touchdown, and 374 yards through the air!!!
Still at a very reasonable price but with a negative breakeven, it is now or never if you want to jump on the Drake Maye train.

Josh Allen and Jahmyr Gibbs were by far the two most popular captaincy selections this week, and both delivered with scores of 62 and 70, respectively.
Both started somewhat slowly but grew into the game as it went on, Allen especially.
This season it is definitely going to be a case of “if in doubt, put the VC and C on Gibbs and Allen”!
Puka Nacua is still Puka Nacua
I started the season with him, and now I am scrambling to find a way to bring him back in because it turns out whatever injury it was, Puka is still him.
I was hoping he may start slowly, returning from injury, and that I could pick him up in a week or two for a discounted price, but those wishes have well and truly flown out the window.
With scores of 46 and 57 in his two games since returning from injury, it is now a case of “I need Puka in my Supercoach team ASAP”.
I will talk about him more below in my trade talk section…
The TE curse has been defeated…for one week at least
FINALLY, my starting tight ends for the week combined for double-digit points; in fact, they did a lot better than that, with Bowers and Likely combining for a monster 91 points on the week.
Bowers was dominant as advertised, while Likely was the beneficiary of a Winston airing it out.
Hopefully the TE curse is now a thing of the past…hopefully.

As always with these things, the information given to the public is not always perfect and can sometimes change quickly.
Reminder that IR refers to Injured Reserve, and players put on the IR will miss a minimum of 4 games.
Lamar Jackson (BAL): After missing last week, Lamar is reported to be progressing well and have a real chance of returning this week.
Jalen Coker (CAR): Is reported to be back practicing and hopeful of returning this week, listed as questionable.
Caleb Williams (BUF): No official news but reported that he is looking to return this week, listed as questionable.
KC Concepcion (CLE): Suffered a concussion early vs the Jets, currently in concussino protocol and listed as questionable.
Quinshon Judkins (CLE): Tweaked his ankle last week and is considered day-to-day, listed as questionable.
CeeDee Lamb (DAL): Suffered a quad bruise, that is not expected to be serious, listed as questionable.
David Montgomery (HOU): Suffered a groin injury and is considered week-to-week, listed as doubtful.
Ladd McConkey (LAC): Weird case where he was officially active last week but did not play any snaps as he deals with a foot injury, listed as questionable.
Kenyon Sadiq (NYJ): Suffered a concussion against the Browns and is listed as questionable.
Saquon Barkley and DeVonta Smith (PHI): Both are eyeing a potential return this week, listed as questionable.
Roman Wilson (PIT): Suffered a finger injury and has been ruled out for this week’s game.
Deebo Samuel Sr. (SF): Suffered a hamstring injury that is expected to keep him out for at least a couple weeks.

There are some cracking games slated for this week, starting with Denver hosting Seattle as well as Jacksonville and Houston clashing in an important divisional game in London.
From a Supercoach perspective, there are a few matchups to potentially target…
The Chiefs fresh off their bye host the struggling Chargers, while the Rams coming off a devastating loss host the Cardinals.
The 49ers will also look to keep rolling in an on paper easy matchup against Washington
Breakevens are the score required for the player to either make money or lose money.
Generally, when looking at who to trade in, heavily consider the players with low breakevens, as they are likely to rise in price.
Similarly, if you have players with high breakevens in your team, it could be time to consider cutting ties to ensure your team doesn’t lose too much value.

Week 5 was once again underwhelming for ‘WillFriesBag’, with a score of 521 which somehow gave me some slight green arrows to now sit just above a rank of 2000.
The big dogs fired, but FOUR sub-5 point scores, made it a week of what could have been.
Once again I can’t afford any slam-dunk trade moves this week, and it is going to be a case of financing upgrades, but here are my preliminary thoughts on what I am thinking…
With no significant injuries or obvious trade-outs to make this week, deciding which players to trade-out is almost as hard as deciding who to trade-in. But we will start with who I want to trade-in if I have the funds.
Embed from Getty ImagesI already talked about Puka Nacua at the top of the article, he is simply a reception machine.
Stafford absolutely loves throwing it to him; 24 targets with a 44% target share in just one game is an outrageous amount of volume.
What is also encouraging is they clearly want him in the endzone, with 3 redzone targets last week and even a goaline rushing touchdown the week prior.
If I can find a way to afford him at $25m, I will be bringing him in because I think he easily finishes as a top 5 WR if this hernia injury stays away.
The next guy I am looking at is none other than Drake Maye. This could be seen as chasing points, and maybe it is a little, but it is also following the hot-hand.
Another guy I talked about above, he looks back to himself, wheeling and dealing touchdown after touchdown, big play after big play.
I ended up going Nico Collins in my flex last week, as I wanted a QB to come out and show they are a clear trade-in for this week, and Maye certaintly did that.
Another trade I will have to figure out how to fund though.
Embed from Getty ImagesAs I said, I think deciding who to trade out is the harder of the two decisions for me this week.
I like my quarterbacks, running backs and tight ends, so it is really only wide receivers which I would consider trading.
None of my three rookie cheapies have made enough money to be moved on for value yet, so it leaves JSN, Chase, Lamb, St.Brown, Golden, and Collins (in the flex).
JSN, Chase, and Lamb are season keepers, and if both are healthy they won’t be leaving my team. Golden isn’t a season keeper but is set to keep making cash with another easy matchup this week, so I am keeping him.
That leaves St. Brown and Collins. I think St. Brown is a season keeper, and Collins a borderline keeper as well. So I don’t love the idea of trading out either of them, but for Puka or Drake Maye it may be worth it.
For now, I am going to leave it at that because I am really not sure, but I will post my updated trade plans in the Discord once I figure them out!!!
Embed from Getty ImagesFor me it is an easy captaincy on Josh Allen this week, up against the Raiders who just let Drake Maye score 78.
VC is the harder pick, esepcially with Gibbs on the bye. Kenneth Walker against the Chargers would have been a serious option but he plays the same time as Allen.
Bijan is always an option to consider and so is JSN. However, if I bring in Maye or Puka I think the VC armband will have to go to one of them.
That’s it for me this week, good luck in week 6!
