NFL Supercoach expert Oscar Henderson goes through talking points, injuries, breakevens, trades, and more ahead of Week 7
NFLWelcome back to The Blitz. Here we recap the last week of crazy NFL action and look ahead at the week to come, all through an NFL Supercoach lens, of course!
Only four half-centuries
It was a bit of an underwhelming week on the big performances front, with just 4 Supercoach players managing to surpass the 50-point mark.
Of course, it didn’t help that we had four teams on the bye, including superstar names like Jahmyr Gibbs and Ja’Marr Chase having the week off.
But even still, it was very much a week that lacked any insane stat lines we have become accustomed to seeing week in and week out.

One of the players who brought up a half-century was Kenneth Walker III, who tallied 53 points, thanks to 139 all-purpose yards and 2 touchdowns.
The new Chiefs running back is now averaging 51.6 on the season, trailing just Allen and Gibbs.
With a season low of 40, he is as reliable as they come this season, and has to be in weekly captaincy conversations going forward (hopefully I do not jinx the man).
Nabers x Likely to the moon!
Malik Nabers and Isaiah Likely have combined for 246 Supercoach points in the last three weeks. Yes, you read that right.
Nabers has a three-week average of 44, while Likely’s is 38. Mind you, this has been done with a mixture of Jameis Winston and J.J. McCarthy at quarterback.
The Giants can not run the ball to save their lives. Instead, they are going with the “F it, Nabers or Likely are up there somewhere) gameplan.
After another monster week where both of them saw 10+ targets, their prices are only going to continue rising.
Weekly reminder that the NFL is weird
In this week’s edition of the NFL being the most volatile and unpredictable league in the world, we had the Titans win a game, and the Rams fall to 2-4.
Yes, the Tennessee Titans actually won a football game, going to Indianapolis and defeating their division rival Colts.
A win that was led by Cam Ward throwing for just 102 yards on 11 completions. Luckily for Supercoachers, 70 of those yards were to Carnell Tate.
The Rams also capitulated at the hands of the Arizona Cardinals, in an upset loss no one expected. Any given Sunday, am I right?

As always with these things, the information given to the public is not always perfect and can sometimes change quickly.
Reminder that IR refers to Injured Reserve, and players put on the IR will miss a minimum of 4 games.
Jeremiyah Love (ARI): Expected to be back doing some running in training, listed as questionable.
Lamar Jackson (BAL): Is considered day-to-day and will need to monitor if he practices, listed as questionable.
Tank Dell (HOU): Is set to make his season debut this week vs the Giants.
Tyler Warren (IND): Was ruled out late with a groin injury suffered in practice, listed as questionable.
Davante Adams (LAR): Suffered a hamstring injury and has been placed on IR, expected to miss 6-10 weeks.
Jordan Mason (MIN): Has been designated to return from IR this week after recovering from a thumb injury.
Romeo Doubs (NE): Suffered a shoulder injury and has been placed on IR, hopeful to return after their Week 11 bye.
Jalen Hurts (PHI): Is expected to miss the rest of the season as it was found that he had several blood clots in his lungs.
Mike Evans (SF): Left the game early with Achilles tendinitis, expected to play this week, listed as questionable.
Zach Charbonnet (SEA): Is a good chance of returning for his season debut vs the Chiefs this week.
Baker Mayfield (TB): Expected to practice this week and has a chance of returning, listed as questionable.
Terry McLaurin (WAS): Suffered a knee injury that will rule him out for the season.

Game of the week for me has to be the reigning Super Bowl champs, Seattle, hosting the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs in what should be a cracker of a game.
From a Supercoach perspective, there aren’t many glaringly obvious matchups to target. Instead, we have a slate of games that appear they could go either way.
This week has 4 teams on the bye: the Bills, Jaguars, Chargers, and Commanders.
Breakevens are the score required for the player to either make money or lose money.
Generally, when looking at who to trade in, heavily consider the players with low breakevens, as they are likely to rise in price.
Similarly, if you have players with high breakevens in your team, it could be time to consider cutting ties to ensure your team doesn’t lose too much value.

Week 6 was a quiet week for ‘WillFriesBag’, managing just the 439 points, but I’m not mad about it at all.
I made the executive decision that last week would be a down week for my side, and that I would hold trades for the long term.
I couldn’t find any trades that I loved, so I played one-man short, with Gibbs on the bye, and my two bench RBs, Love and Price, both out injured.
To bring in Drake Maye, I traded out Nico Collins instead of Amon-Ra St. Brown, having to play all three rookie WRs last week, but setting me up better for the long run.
I somehow managed to end the week with slight green arrows, so I will take that every day of the week.
Embed from Getty ImagesAs always, I am not sold on my trade plans for the week at all, but here is what I’m thinking.
Like almost everyone this week, I am facing playing one player short with Josh Allen on the bye and Fernando Mendoza sitting there on my bench.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like Mendoza will get a start any time soon, with some reports indicating the Raiders are targeting Week 14, after their bye, to throw him in there.
Luckily, an unfortunate Jalen Hurts injury has gifted us a $6.41m solution that goes by the name of Tanner McKee.
He is far from the perfect cheapie QB, but he should be able to do a job.
The Eagles are so depleted that their run game is basically non-existent, and they will have to lean on McKee airing it out.
We saw this already in his 45-pass attempts last week, and this volume alone should give his scoring a decent floor.
What I like even more is the matchup against the Cowboys defence this week, who made undrafted rookie Jalon Daniels look like 2022 Mahomes just a couple of weeks back.
Embed from Getty ImagesOutside of that, I have no clue what I will do with my trades; in fact, I may not make any others.
I have no glaringly obvious trade-out candidates, although it may be smart for me to move Denzel Boston on for one of the new cheapie WRs on the block.
Omar Cooper Jr. exploded on his return from injury, with 103 yards and a touchdown.
The first-round rookie is basement price and set to make a bunch of cash, but I can’t help but be reminded of the Kenyon Sadiq buy a few weeks back.
This Jets’ offence is just not something I want to be invested in; add in Adonai Mitchell returning, and I think Cooper Jr. is far from a must-have.
Still, at the price, you can’t really go wrong.
So for now, it is just Mendoza to McKee for me. Keep an eye on the Discord over the weekend for my updated trade plans!
Embed from Getty ImagesWith Josh Allen on the bye this week, we may actually see some differences in captain picks.
In saying that, I still think it is relatively straightforward selections for me.
VC will be Drake Maye on Friday in what is set to be a blockbuster clash against the Bears.
C will be Jahmyr Gibbs, fresh off the bye and coming up against the Packers in what is expected to be a shootout.
That’s all from me, good luck!
