- CHAMPION PODS: Unique players to give you an edge on rivals
- FINAL WORD: Round 5, key trade and tactical advice
As I’m learning more and more in this game, SuperCoach is about the highs and lows, like rugby league itself.
In Round 3 the Stockmen finished 126th overall for the week, pushing me into a career high rank just outside the top 1,000.
Round 4 wasn’t so kind as a non-owner of Ryan Papenhuyzen who delivered a gigantic score.
I scored just 1,180 points, seeing me drop to 7,565th overall, a hefty fall!

My old mate Blake Ferguson and recent recruit of Croker’s Stockmen delivered in droves with 111 points, on ya mate.
Let’s see if we can turn things around in Round 5.

It was devastating to hear Morgs had to call time on his career early. He’s been such a terrific ambassador for rugby league and he’ll be a big loss, but hopefully he stays involved in the game. Congrats on an excellent career mate.
Trading him to impressive Roosters rookie Sam Walker is a very straight forward move that frees up plenty of money for my squad.

ROGER TUIVASA-SHECK to RYAN PAPENHUYZEN
I didn’t want to part ways with the Warriors skipper who has been awesome for me so far and looks to be making more money.
But I found out the hard way last week that there are certain guys you can’t go without.
That guy was of course Papenhuyzen who will come into my side this week with a matchup against the Bulldogs that has the potential to be one-sided.
These trades leave me with $134,000 to play around with next week, and I’ll likely be going Tex Hoy to either Cody Walker or Cameron Munster.

You can be bitter about mistakes, or you can move forward. I’ll be taking the latter option and captaining my recruit Papenhuyzen.
If he knocks out another huge score it’ll somewhat ease the pain of not owning him last week.
As vice-captain, I’ll give it to David Fifita who continues to develop his game in brutal fashion.
He’ll continue to improve as a fairly inexperienced NRL player which will of course have rivals worried.
If he scores large tonight it’ll take some pressure off heading into the weekend.
Good luck to SuperCoach teams in Round 5!
