NRL2019 NRL Supercoach champion Declan Creek reveals his full squad ahead of season 2025.
Cory Paix
I’ve decided to run double cheap hooker to start the year which is the same as I did last year.
It seems to be the new meta given that hooker just isn’t the high scoring and high consistency Supercoach position that it used to be 5-10 years ago.
Paix looks set to start for the Broncos and should play decent minutes, with some potentially going to Billy Walters too.
Sandon Smith
I’m not sure how well he will actually score, nonetheless it’s madness to run without a dual hooker/halfback who starts at basement cheapie price and plays for a decent enough side in the Roosters.
Smith should see a relatively fast $200k price rise that can swiftly be rolled into CTW for higher upside.

What more could you actually ask for?
$150-200k underpriced and dual FRF/2RF for big Tino as he returns from an ACL injury.
I expect that his minutes will be back to the 60+ that we are used to within a month or two at most, provided he can stay healthy and get some match fitness under his belt.
Corey Horsburgh
Yet again another player who is significantly underpriced with dual FRF/2RF status.
Big Red has in years gone by shown a motor to go basically all 80 minutes when asked to do so by Ricky Stuart.
I can’t see why he can’t average 50-60pts for the season and be a start most weeks while I look to upgrade higher upside positions.
Terrell May
May wasn’t high on my radar all pre-season, but I’ve decided to play a little safer and follow the crowd in case he does get the big minutes many are predicting at the Tigers.
Ben Te Kura
Just purely a minutes thing, if he gets them then his price goes up. I can’t see many other options to pick over him at this stage.

Simply one of the most consistent players in Supercoach and coming into the peak of his physicality turning 26 this year.
We know he also has tons in him if he can jag an attacking stat here and there which is well within his footballing ability.
Add in an offload license and you have a guaranteed 70pts per week player with which to build the rest of your second-row around.
Jacob Preston
Preston is a gun footballer and can improve on his 62 point average from 67 minutes per game last season.
If he gets back to an 80 minute role it suggests he’s undervalued, and he has plenty of attacking upside too.

Zac Hosking
Hosking has been cleared to play for the Raiders in Vegas after a pre-season injury concern.
He started the 2024 season with scores of 92 and 109 before injury impacted the majority of his year.
He has a huge work rate and like Preston is more than capable of finding major attacking stats.
Jack Gosiewski, Lachlan Hubner & Demitric Vaimauga
My cheapie 2RF contingent to start the season.
If things change on team list Tuesday then I’ll force a work around in these three bench 2RF spots.

Cleary is the best player in the world and regularly translates it to big Supercoach scores. A simple set-and-forget in my team.
Nicho Hynes
17% ownership for a $735k priced Hynes has me genuinely salivating.
This guy is a top tier Supercoach points accumulator and will make you pay for not owning him.
It could be round 1 or it could be round 10, but the big scores will come, and they can ruin you if you don’t get a piece.

I found it very hard to drop the Galvinator from my side after holding him all last season for a 60+ average in his rookie year playing for the wooden spooners.
However, the risk is too great that Luai takes the reigns causing his attacking touches to significantly decrease.
Thus, I’ve opted for the tried and true D.Bags who can easily push his average back to 70+ if the Eels play even slightly better than they did last season.
For a position that is seemingly causing people headaches Brown is your Paracetamol.
Cameron Munster
I’m going against Luke Metcalf in favour of Cam Munster who is a proven gun that starts cheap based on his 62 average last season.
It was his lowest average in years as injury impacted his season.
He featured in the Storm’s trial and moved well enough to suggest he can bounce back this season.

I’ve moved Dylan Lucas on who I was very keen on, in favour of teammate Greg Marzhew.
Marzhew looked great in the Knights trial and saw plenty more attacking ball than last season.
Ali Leiataua
Leiataua was devastating in the Warriors trial and looks made for Supercoach scoring.
Adam Doueihi
Doueihi is back on deck after another injury plagued season in 2024.
He kicked goals in the trial in a big boost and has plenty of upside even at centre.
Jaxon Purdue
Looked to be a serious tackle busting prospect in the limited minutes we saw him last season.
Should Purdue get a starting spot in the backline he will be one of the highest % owned players in the game due to guaranteed cash generation.
Sione Finau, Gehamat Shibasaki & Robert Toia
All look to be decent cash generation prospects should they be able to hold down a spot for 3+ weeks. If not, then no dramas as other CTW cheapies will surely emerge come TLT Round 1.

We know the risks and rewards by now having watched Turbo grace our screens for the better part of a decade.
If he’s fit then you can throw the captaincy on him every week without hesitation.
Isaiah Iongi
I did have Latrell Mitchell here as a third gun FLB, but the injury has changed my team enormously as I’ve opted for rookie Isaiah Iongi.
This frees up tonnes of cash to move around my squad, he should make some quick cash.

I said a few weeks ago that I was likely going to fade KP due to his plaguing HIA and injury issues and being burned by him constantly in the past, however the more I looked at the Knights draw and then back at my Supercoach team, the more I realised he was the missing piece of the puzzle.
The flex position sure is interesting and it would go totally against my ethos to not try to run a triple gun fullback team right off the bat.
If someone like Iongi starts scoring well right away and I need to get him in for the price rise then it should be as simple as using a trade boost and a few moving parts, however for the most part this strategy will largely rely on the cash generation spread around the multitude of cheapies scattered throughout the rest of my team.
I also feel the introduction of the Flex rule mitigates the risk of Ponga’s head knocks a little too.

Nice Dezzy. Like you I am hoping a few cheapies appear on TLT. Looking forward to seeing how many changes you make before game 1. Will it be as many as us mere mortals? 😆
