The Random Stats Guy analyses the player ownership of the top ranked NRL Supercoach teams in Round 22
NRLAnalysing the NRL Supercoach ownership of players across the top teams heading into the last week of Supercoach.
To make life easier when identifying true ownership of NRL Supercoach players, each week we’ll break it down into ranking brackets.
Whether you’re chasing ranks, or playing it safe up top, it’ll help identify the best ways to try and achieve your Supercoach goals.
The tables below sets out the proportion of Supercoach teams in the top 1%, top 5%, top 10% and overall that own each player.
This season, there are over 150,000 Supercoach teams, so the top 1% would be roughly the top 1500 teams, top 5% is the top 7,500 teams and top 10% is top 15,000 teams.
Let’s take a look at the ownership of players heading into Round 22.
Fantasy NRL markets have arrived! Alongside our mates at BetBuzz, we’ve designed unique fantasy based markets pitting players together by position every round. Check them out here!

Dylan Edwards has firmed as the 3rd fullback option for Supercoaches, now at 82% ownership for the top 1%
He delivered 85 points against the Tigers last week and rose in price to $842k.
With a breakeven of 29 and projected rise of $60k, this is the very last chance to buy the Panthers’ fullback before his price becomes out of reach.

Jacob Kiraz is now the most popular CTW for Supercoaches ranked in the top 5%, surpassing Reuben Garrick who has held the mantle for most of the season.
Kiraz is still modestly priced at $692k with an 82.6 season average.
He does move into fullback, where he has played just once before, scoring 52 points against the Sharks last season.
Zac Lomax has defied his tough fixtures, scoring 86 vs Penrith, 95 vs Raiders, and 99 vs Broncos.
Parra have the Storm this week (who have been leaking points down their edges), before the Cowboys and Rabbitohs.
Josiah Karapani‘s shock omission has impacted over 51,000 Supercoaches, with the majority choosing to carry him with limited trades remaining.
For those that are offloading, Jethro Rinakama has been a popular trade-in at $198k.
He will free up cash and will get you a $78k price rise after this round with a -60 break even.

Tom Dearden is the 3rd most traded-in player this week, following a purple patch of form that has seen him score 60+ points in his last 4 games, including 165 points last week vs Dragons.
He has a tough fixture against the Sharks this week, but if you’re willing to wait, he has the Eels, Knights, Tigers and Broncos to finish the season.

The no-brainer trade of the week is Nathan Cleary IN, Jahrome Hughes OUT – if you didn’t have Cleary in before, that is…
1-2 punch of Hynes and Cleary is the way to go for the top 1% with 93% and 94% ownership, respectively.

Hudson Young has continued to firm as a popular 2RF option, as he is the 4th for most traded-in player this week.
Most Supercoaches have been patient to bring him in, with his price dropping from $788k down to $686k since Round 15 – that is despite a 5RA of 74 in that period…
He has an 87 break even this week, so he will bottom out at $686k if you’re still keen!
Koloamatangi, Tino and Haumole all sit in the top 5 most traded-out players this week as their injuries will see them sit out the rest of the season.

Nothing to report on from a FRF basis.
Haas and May are still the 1-2 punch, despite Haas’ 60 points last week.

Harry Grant is the 2nd most traded-in player this week, with over 10,000 Supercoaches buying the Storm hooker.
Timmy Williams shared Grant’s stats with and without Jahrome Hughes:
2024 season average: 71 points
2024 average without Hughes: 74 points (three games)
2023 season average: 73 points
2023 average without Hughes: 61 points
For me, who has owned Grant, his scores have been up and down with 3 scores under 56 in his last 4 games.
He had one of the best club games of his career last week vs Roosters – and he had to without Munster, Papi and Hughes – so just be careful you’re not chasing points!
