Six Again | NRL Supercoach Round 15, everything you need to know

From injury news to breakevens, most traded and captaincy options, here's everything you need to know ahead of NRL Supercoach round 15

NRL

We were treated to a one-round break from the bye-round mayhem last week, a relief for many managers who had spent the prior two weeks scrambling for numbers.

What was shaping to be a moderate week of scoring was flipped on its head on Sunday afternoon with the Panthers’ 68-0 thrashing of the Tigers.

The importance of nailing your captaincy choices was once again emphasised, with around 65% of top managers hauling in 298 points from King Cleary.

This week is set to be a massive trading week, as we face the second major bye round of the league that is shaping to be quite a tricky one to navigate for many managers…

NRL ROUND 14 RAPID RECAP

In case you didn’t get to catch much footy last week, here is my rapid recap of round 14.

Going in chronological order:

Another win for Manly at Foz Pines Park, led by big performances from Garrick (96) and Olakau’atu (96). For the Souths, Murray (83) and Koloamatangi (75) were the highest scorers.

A brilliant back-and-forth battle between Melbourne and Newcastle, with Grant (91) and Hughes (86) leading the Storm to a narrow win. Ponga (123) and Lucas (101) were immense in defeat.

A Sydney shutout down in Canberra, with Marky Mark (128) returning with a bang, while Walker (118) and Toia (101) also put up monster scores. For the Raiders, Young (77), Hosking (75), and Tapine (75) all put in big shifts.

Another big win for the Phins, with the outside backs all scoring well, led by Cobbo (96) and Bostock (84). Chester (89) continues to put up impressive scores, picking up both of the Cowboys’ tries.

A thrilling win for the Titans, led by Jayden Campbell’s (91) second-half surge. Sami (82) was also impressive for the Titans. Despite the Broncos’ loss, Piakura (110), Anderson (90) and Willison (86) all scored big.

An absolute belting by the Panthers, led by Cleary (148), while Jenkins (148), To’o (134) and Alamoti (109) scored 5 tries between them. Despite the heavy defeat, Terrell May (77) still scored solidly.

A big win for the Sharks, led by big performances from Mulitalo (129) and Nikora (107). Holmes (83) and Couchman (79) were the best for the Dragons.

A bit of a slug of a match on the Monday with the Dogs scraping a win, led by Kiraz (93) and Tracey (90). Jack Williams (72) continues to get through big work for the Eels (72).

NRL SUPERCOACH BREAKEVENS

Breakevens are the score required for the player to either make money or lose money.

Generally speaking, when looking at who to trade in, heavily consider the players with low breakevens, as they will help make your team money.

Similarly, if you have some players with high breakevens in your team, maybe it’s time to consider cutting ties to ensure your team doesn’t lose too much value.
