NRL Supercoach Draft rankings: Top 150 list

NRL Supercoach Draft expert Max Bryden ranks the top 150 best buys in order for your big day.

NRL

Before the footy, there’s your SuperCoach draft.

And to help you with your Draft comp, here’s our Top 150 Draft rankings.

These have been meticulously put together based on a review of positional rankings, positional depth as well as the strength of schedule for Rounds 23 – 26 aka the SuperCoach draft finals.

This Top 150 has been pulled together against the context of a 12-man comp. If you’re playing a small comp, again there might be some fluctuation.

But after road testing this list through many mock drafts I can confidently present them.

Now during your draft you can review this page as a guide to help you. But to get the best results, I recommend updating your Pre Draft board as much as possible.

Given that’s the tool you need to do the draft itself, organisation is key.

So here it is – let us know what we got wrong in the comments.

RankPlayerNotes
Nathan ClearyThe lack of positional depth pushes him to a clear number 1
Tom TrbojevicGreat finals draw and high ceiling. If he’s fit in your finals, you should win.
Kalyn PongaRare ceiling and his goal kicking helps push him above his rivals.
James TedescoWon’t do what he did last year, but his durability and lack of Origin means he’s a great asset.
Jahrome HughesAgain, the lack of positional depth hurts but he’s a stud regardless.
Nicho HynesSome risk if he doesn’t return to this 2023 heights. If you’re a believer take him even higher.
Scott DrinkwaterScores well and won’t play Origin. If he gets the kicking he can challenge the Top 5 on points and average.
Reece WalshA rollercoaster but a guy who can win you your matchups when the broncos play well.
Latrell MitchellA bye in Round 26 hurts, but he will win you lots of games. The injury drops him from 5th to 9th.
Keano KiniThe fresh face in the Top 10. Not without risk given he’s only in his second year of first grade.
Dylan EdwardsA consistent scorer, albeit one who could miss games over Origin.
Reuben GarrickFirst CTW off the board. Always scores well due to goal kicking.
Dylan BrownLower than years past despite picking up the dual. Comes with some risk given his ACL strain.
David FifitaFirst 2RF off the board.
Ryan PapenhuyzenIf he gets goal kicks he could move into the top 5. Regardless he’s a top prospect.
Zac LomaxSome are scared off by his move to the centres. I still think he will go well.
Jacob KirazHuge workrate is his trade mark. if he can add more tries this year he could be the top averaging CTW.
Harry GrantThe best hooker available.
Eli KatoaA certified star. His NZ heritage means his partnership with Hughes usually flourishes throughout origin.
Angus CrichtonNot tipped to hit the heights of last year but still rock solid.
Isaah Yeo
Cam MunsterCould go as high as 13 or much later depending on your appetitie for risk. How he returns post surgery we don’t know.
Brian To’o
Herbie Farnworth
Val HolmesA new team is expected to score less, but he’s still going to be a valuable guy to own.
Daly Cherry-EvansCould be taken later based on his average, but on positional depth he could land this high.
Jayden CampbellA sneaky 70 point average last year was fantastic. A move to halfback adds question marks. His dual position makes him a top 30 pick.
Hamiso Tabuai-FidowDoesn’t have the same base scores as other fullbacks but can go high thanks to his speed and try scoring ability.
Addin Fonua-BlakeThe top FRF. Don’t take him higher than this as FRF isn’t important.
Payne Haas
Dane Gagai
Ronaldo Mulitalo
Clint Gutherson
Haumole Olakau’atu
Briton Nikora
Hudson YoungA sneakily good SuperCoach prospect. Don’t sleep on him.
Kayal Iro
J’maine HopgoodCould be top 20 if we knew he was going to get big minutes.
Mitch Barnett
Terrell MayFrom undrafted last year, May is now expected to average 65+ at FRF.
Mitch MosesLoses goal kicking hence his drop out of the Top 20.
Jamayne Isaako
Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad
Pat CarriganHis mooted shift to FRF this year means we don’t know how he will score. Worth a punt around this time of the draft.
Matt Burton
Joseph Tapine
Tom Dearden
Lachie GalvinPending on if you’re a believer of not, Galvin could move up a few spots but I think this is a good spot for the second year player. Let’s see how he goes with Luai before we get carried away.
Connor WatsonHandy dual position.
Cam MurrayPending injury update
Dylan LucasHandy dual position – best to pick him at CTW.
Jarome Luai
Tino Fa’asuamaleauiAt times a top 10 pick. Let’s see how he comes back from his ACL injury before picking him too high.
Reece Robson
Api KoroisauIf he were to lose goal kicking he could drop 40 spots in this list.
Jesse Ramien
Jayden Su’aSneaky 67 average last year, so he’s shown his class. But best not go too early.
Jeremy Marshall-King
Damien CookNew club, new role? we don’t know so don’t go too early on Cookie.
Dan TupouAveraged 65 last year but that was under different halves.
Cody Walker
Greg MarzhewSome people took Greg in the top 15 last year. We’re being a bit more conservative this season.
Nick Meaney
Dom YoungAveraged over 70 last year but we are not expecting the same with no Manu inside him.
Selwyn Cobbo
Campbell GrahamA risky pick given we have not seen him play for almost two years.
Keaon Koloamatangi
Isaiah Papali’iNew club, new role. Not sure what we will get.
Max PlathHandy dual position this year but with an unclear role you can wait to almost pick 70 to take him.
Cam McInnes
Connor TraceyOne of the few remaining dual position players. A decent guy to reach higher for if you have concerns with your fullback’s injury history.
Bradman Best
Roger Tuivasa-SheckWill move to the wing this year which should see an increase in his scoring.
Paul Alamoti
AJ BrimsonShould earn dual 5/8 at some point which makes him a handy guy to own.
Te Maire Martin
Beau FermorHandy dual. We saw him play both sides yesterday – if he ends up on the left, it’s all systems go.
Philip Sami
Brian Kelly
Sam WalkerInjured to start the year but given the lack of depth at HFB is still relevant.
Jacob Preston
Izack Tago
Fletcher SharpeGood duals and could score well at five-eighth. As the backup to Kalyn Ponga he’s a handy stash.
Jeremiah Nanai
Jahream Bula
Keao WeekesThis is a decent time to take Weekes who needs a lot of attack to score well.
Murray Taulagi
Brayden TrindallAveraged well last year but scored a lot of tries. If Nicho were to get injured you’d be stoked to own him.
Ben Hunt
Zac Hosking
Lehi HopoateAnother handy guy to own thanks to the role he’d win if Turbo got hurt.
Reed Mahoney
Blayke Brailey
Jeral SkeltonBig watch on team lists. Has a huge motor and workrate but is still working on his defence.
Sandon Smith
Jacob Liddle
Casey McLeanWhoever earns the starting spot at Penrith out of him and his brother should be taken around here.
Shawn Blore
Euan Aikten
Nat Butcher
Will Penisini
Christian TuipulotuSneaky good player last season who can score tries in contact.
Sunia Turuva
Luke Brooks
Deine Mariner
Max King
Blaize Talagi
Reuben Cotter
Teig Wilton
Braidon Burns
Kelma TuilagiBig watch on minutes at Parra. If he gets 80 you could be getting a steal at this pick.
Sam StonestreetThis is purely based on team lists. If he gets the spot, he’s got the skill to average well.
Moses Suli
Jamal Fogarty
Luke Metcalf
Jack Wighton
Jake Averillo
Lindsay SmithShould get a minutes up tick and average 55-60 this year at FRF.
Jack de Belin
Luciano Leilua
James Fisher-Harris
Stefano
Josh Curran

Josh Addo-Carr
John Bateman
Victor Radley
Adam ReynoldsAlways an injury concern with ARey but when on the field he scores well thanks to his goal kicking.
