NRL Supercoach veteran Tim Williams analyses the NRL squads for the round 10 fixtures with in-depth Supercoach analysis
NRLThe rollercoaster ride that is NRL Supercoach continues to deliver all ranges of emotions.
Once again, Round 9 had a little bit of everything, from point explosions to injuries and bombed tries (yes, you Sialetili)…
Latrell Mitchell topped the round with 160 points, only to have 19 points taken off in updates; nonetheless, the Bunnies strike-centre still did enough to become the newest member of the NRL Supercoach $1M club.
While there’s obviously a firm focus on the looming Origin period, attention this week also turns to a large number of fallen guns who have hit basement prices of late.
The list of proven Supercoach guns over a number of years that have hit a wall this season is significant.
Cam Munster, Fletcher Sharpe, Brian To’o, Briton Nikora, Valentine Holmes, Tino Fa’asuamaleaui, and Campbell Graham all sit in this category, most at sub $500k.
Do we look to pounce at bargain rates, or do we concede that they’ve lost their Supercoach aura in 2026?
We’ll discuss these players and more in-depth on the SC Playbook podcast.

It was a week from Hell for the Cooma Stallions after a strong run of scores, not due to players underperforming as such, the dreaded injury curse struck us hard.
I was $5k short of recruiting Nicho Hynes, so I turned my attention to Adam Doueihi with my third boost of the season.
The Tigers’ playmaker suffered a shoulder injury while scoring a try just 11 minutes into that clash.
I also owned Mark Nawaqanitawase, who played just 26 minutes before succumbing to an ankle injury.
The Roosters put 38 points on the defending premiers, ahead of clashes with the Titans and Cowboys. Ouch.
It wasn’t to be, hopefully the fortunes turn this week!
We finished with a reasonable 1,371 points, all things considered, but did see a decent drop in rank to 16k overall.
Let’s take a look at the NRL Supercoach analysis of the Round 10 teams, with squad lists courtesy of Fox Sports.

Dolphins: 1. Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow 2. Jamayne Isaako 3. Jack Bostock 4. Herbie Farnworth 5. Selwyn Cobbo 6. Brad Schneider 7. Isaiya Katoa 8. Thomas Flegler 9. Max Plath 10. Francis Molo 11. Connelly Lemuelu 12. Kulikefu Finefeuiaki 13. Morgan Knowles
Bench: 14. Ray Stone 15. Tom Gilbert 16. Felise Kaufusi 17. Oryn Keeley 18. Kodi Nikorima 19. Jeremy Marshall-King
Reserves: 20. Trai Fuller 21. Tevita Naufahu 22. Lewis Symonds
Analysis: The Dolphins have the best Origin period draw in Supercoach, playing all three major bye rounds, missing just one minor bye in Round 13.
Kulikefu Finefeuiaki finally broke through for a much-deserved try on the buzzer against the Storm to notch a ton with 71 in base and power.
He looks likely for a Maroons berth, which will make him a sell come Round 12.
Jack Bostock returned from injury in emphatic fashion at centre, scoring 105 points to place him among the most traded-in players this week.
He recorded an outstanding 53 points in base and power, with 21 runs to his name.
I love him as a footballer, and he does have Supercoach relevance, but I am very surprised to see the attention he’s grabbed this week.
He’s never been overly relevant with previous averages of 52, 53, and 39 points per game.
He won’t change in price this week, so I don’t see the need to rush at $506k.
I’d prefer him on the wing, but if he replicates the base and power this week, we can grab him next week ahead of the bye period at no additional cost.
Jamayne Isaako has bottomed out at $666k with a breakeven of 58 and looks a nice pick-up at any stage, one that I’d prefer to Bostock despite the price difference.
Embed from Getty ImagesBulldogs: 1. Connor Tracey 2. Jonathan Sua 3. Bronson Xerri 4. Stephen Crichton 5. Enari Tuala 6. Matt Burton 7. Lachlan Galvin 8. Samuel Hughes 9. Bailey Hayward 10. Leo Thompson 11. Sitili Tupouniua 12. Jacob Preston 13. Jaeman Salmon
Bench: 14. Alekolasimi Jones 15. Sean O’Sullivan 16. Harry Hayes 17. Josh Curran 19. Marcelo Montoya 20. Lipoi Hopoi
Reserves: 21. Jethro Rinakama 22. Gordon Chan Kum Tong 23. Logan Spinks
Analysis: The Bulldogs don’t have a bye until Round 15, which is then followed by another in Round 18, making them relevant to that point.
Despite the early coverage, they don’t have many enticing Supercoach prospects.
Jacob Preston is reportedly receiving injections to both shoulders and also sits firmly in the Origin frame.
Sitili Tupouniua was flagged as a watch last week. He eventually played 57 minutes off the bench for 61 points, which came entirely in base and power.
As good as he looks, I think he needs the full 80 to warrant buying.
Josh Curran was the man who started in his place on the edge, notching an excellent 76 points in 68 minutes with 59 points in base and power alone.
He’s at the bargain rate of $347k with a breakeven of 23 and could be a steal should he lock down that role, with dual 2RF-FRF positioning.
I’ll monitor this week, if he gets the minutes again, an Arama Hau to Curran play could be on the cards.
Cheapie Jonathan Sua has been named to play again in a win for owners with another price rise on the horizon.

Roosters: 1. James Tedesco 2. Daniel Tupou 3. Hugo Savala 4. Robert Toia 5. Cody Ramsey 6. Daly Cherry-Evans 7. Sam Walker 8. Naufahu Whyte 9. Reece Robson 10. Spencer Leniu 11. Angus Crichton 12. Siua Wong 13. Victor Radley
Bench: 14. Connor Watson 15. Egan Butcher 16. Nat Butcher 17. Salesi Foketi 18. Taylor Losalu 19. Benaiah Ioelu
Reserves: 20. Fetalaiga Pauga 21. Reece Foley 22. Billy Smith
Analysis: The Roosters don’t have a great Origin period schedule, playing just the one major bye in Round 15; however, they do cover the three mini byes, which is valuable.
With games to come against the Titans and Cowboys, we can expect points to continue to flow.
Losing Mark Nawaqanitawase for these fixtures is heartbreaking; he could have exploded.
You could make a case for a stack of Roosters on current form.
James Tedesco is simply a must, along with the VC or C armband.
Sam Walker should continue his strong form with four scores of 80+ on the trot. With Adam Doueihi injured, I feel he becomes even more relevant.
Daniel Tupou could be a little flyer at $576k with a breakeven of 53.
He’s averaging just 58.1 points this season, while his base and power have regressed significantly in recent years, at just 33 per game, so he is attack-reliant.
With the draw to come, though, he could be set for some big outings.
Cody Ramsey has been named to replace Marky Mark on the wing.
Angus Crichton has been named, but is reportedly set to miss a month of action.
Embed from Getty ImagesTitans: 1. Keano Kini 2. Jenson Taumoepeau 3. Jojo Fifita 4. AJ Brimson 5. Phillip Sami 6. Jayden Campbell 7. Zane Harrison 8. Klese Haas 9. Oliver Pascoe 10. Tino Fa’asuamaleaui 11. Chris Randall 12. Beau Fermor 13. Cooper Bai
Bench: 14. Kurtis Morrin 15. Moeaki Fotuaika 16. Josh Patston 17. Arama Hau 18. Jaylan De Groot 19. Sam Verrills
Reserves: 20. Lachlan Ilias 21. Adam Christensen 22. Bodhi Sharpley
Analysis: The Titans play the first two major bye rounds, but don’t appeal too much on current form.
Arama Hau was hooked after 51 minutes on the weekend after being stood up by Simi Sasagi and has been benched as a result.
He’s peaked at $574k with a breakeven of 89 and could be set to drop cash quickly, sell.
Sialetili Faeamani is nearing his peak at $466k with a breakeven of 27 following a 34-point effort last week.
He’s out this week with a knee injury and will be replaced by debutant Jensen Taumoepeau.
Lachlan Ilias has been dropped, with rookie Zane Harrison to start at halfback and Jayden Campbell shifting to five-eighth.
Unfortunately, Campbell won’t get three games in before positional updates to earn dual 5/8-HFB.
Jayden Campbell should bottom out at approximately $630k for the bye period, making him a big watch in the coming rounds.
Tino Fa’asuamaleaui has bounced back to form and minutes over the past fortnight, averaging 79 points in 64 minutes.
With Origin looming though, he’s an avoid despite the tantalising price tag of $543k for one of the best in the business when at his best.

Cowboys: 1. Scott Drinkwater 2. Braidon Burns 3. Jaxon Purdue 4. Tomas Chester 5. Zac Laybutt 6. Jake Clifford 7. Tom Dearden 8. Coen Hess 9. Reed Mahoney 10. Jason Taumalolo 11. Heilum Luki 12. Sam McIntyre 13. Reuben Cotter
Bench: 14. Soni Luke 15. Griffin Neame 16. Thomas Mikaele 17. Matthew Lodge 18. Xavier Kerrisk 19. Mason Barber
Reserves: 20. Kai O’Donnell 21. Kaiden Lahrs 22. Robert Derby
Analysis: The Cowboys have a strong early Origin bye period schedule, before missing the second two major byes in Round 15 and 18.
Tom Chester is an exceptional talent, averaging 68 points per game with 50.1 points in base and power.
He’s scored just two tries and assisted one all season; he looms as a season keeper as 5th CTW provided the Cowboys maintain their form.
Tom Mikaele has flown under the radar of late. He boasts a five-round average of 60 points per game, notching an incredible 75 in base and power against the Bulldogs.
He played 50 minutes, which included 17 runs, 30 tackles, five tackle busts, and three offloads.
He’s always had a Supercoach-friendly game, but minutes and consistency have always plagued him.
For that reason, I can’t go near him, but if he’s shown enough to win over Todd Payten and maintains big minutes, he could be a stud at $453k with a breakeven of 18.
Jaxon Purdue is in freefall at $535k with a breakeven of 112, boasting a three-round average of just 36 points.
Embed from Getty ImagesEels: 1. Joash Papali’i 2. Brian Kelly 3. Jordan Samrani 4. Sean Russell 5. Josh Addo-Carr 6. Ronald Volkman 7. Mitchell Moses 8. Luca Moretti 9. Tallyn Da Silva 10. Junior Paulo 11. Kelma Tuilagi 12. Jack Williams 13. Jack de Belin
Bench: 14. Dylan Walker 15. Saxon Pryke 16. Toni Mataele 17. Charlie Guymer 18. Apa Twidle 19. Teancum Brown
Reserves: 20. Jezaiah Funa-Luta 21. Araz Nanva 22. Lorenzo Talataina
Analysis: Parramatta misses the first major bye round, then plays the next two.
On current form, you couldn’t entertain any players, but as troops return, they will likely become somewhat relevant post Round 12 bye.
Popular cheapie Saxon Pryke scored just 36 points in 42 minutes, with no offloads or tackle busts and just five runs to his name.
He’s a promising player, but his Supercoach output remains very limited.
Embed from Getty ImagesSaturday, 3pm, WIN Stadium, Wollongong
Dragons: 1. Clinton Gutherson 2. Setu Tu 3. Moses Suli 4. Valentine Holmes 5. Mathew Feagai 6. Daniel Atkinson 7. Kade Reed 8. Emre Guler 9. Damien Cook 10. Toby Couchman 11. Dylan Egan 12. Ryan Couchman 13. Hamish Stewart
Bench: 14. Josh Kerr 15. Loko Jnr Pasifiki Tonga 16. Blake Lawrie 17. Jacob Halangahu 18. Kyle Flanagan 19. Tyrell Sloan
Reserves: 20. Lyhkan King-Togia 21. Hame Sele 22. Christian Tuipulotu
Analysis: The Dragons play the first and third major bye rounds; however, current form makes them pretty unappealing.
Further, they face Penrith next week into the Warriors away in the first major bye week, who will be largely unimpacted by Origin selection.
I’d still look to buy Ryan Couchman at $389k with a breakeven of 18, though.
He played 74 minutes on the edge on ANZAC Day, for 51 points with 47 in base in the huge loss to the Roosters.
Twin brother Toby is also knocking out strong scores, with a three-round average of 83 points, with 69 in base alone in that period.
Daniel Atkinson owners, including yours truly, will be desperate for a 50+ score to get some degree of cash generation going.
If you can flip him, I wouldn’t hesitate, but it’s a big leap up to Nicho Hynes.
Dylan Egan returns from an ACL lay-off on the edge, with Luciano Leilua out.
Embed from Getty ImagesKnights: 1. Kalyn Ponga 2. Dominic Young 3. Dane Gagai 4. Bradman Best 5. Greg Marzhew 6. Fletcher Sharpe 7. Dylan Brown 8. Jacob Saifiti 9. Phoenix Crossland 10. Trey Mooney 11. Dylan Lucas 12. Jermaine McEwen 13. Mathew Croker
Bench: 14. Sandon Smith 15. Tyson Frizell 16. Pasami Saulo 17. Francis Manuleleua 18. Harrison Graham 19. Fletcher Hunt
Reserves: 20. Cody Hopwood 21. Kyle McCarthy 22. James Schiller
Analysis: The Knights unfortunately miss the first two major bye rounds, which is a blow, but renewed form with stars back on deck and games against the Dragons and Titans does give them genuine relevance.
We’ll go into more depth on the podcast, as there are a lot of names to mention here, so I’ll just flag a few for now.
Fletcher Sharpe has pretty well bottomed out at $486k with a breakeven of 71 and could be a steal, but he doesn’t look fully fit to me.
The telling stat for me on the weekend was Newcastle putting on 42 points in a free-flowing affair. He scored 58 with a try assist, with just five runs and 0 tackle breaks.
I’m still extremely interested; he just isn’t quite passing the eye test at the moment.
Greg Marzhew has been a rollercoaster this season, with three scores under 44 to complement his 131-point haul against the Rabbitohs.
He’s $562k with a breakeven of 24, and will only benefit with Kalyn Ponga back on deck and Fletcher Sharpe shifting back to the halves.
Dylan Lucas scored 97 on his return from injury with a pair of tries. He’s a proven Supercoach gun and should be on the radar of all at $661k with a breakeven of 80.
Embed from Getty ImagesCommiserations to Trey Mooney owners who sold last week for his 123 points.
You were in good company; the strike-forward was the third most sold player of the week.
Kalyn Ponga is soooo enticing this week at $655k with a breakeven of 72 with two dream match-ups incoming.
He’s averaging 104 points per game in his two 80-minute games this season, including 54 points in 28 minutes when injured against Manly.
I suspect he’ll be on the Maroons bench, which will lead to very limited minutes, unless he opts out of selection, potentially?
Newcastle play Saturday at 3pm after Origin 1 and Friday at 8pm after Origin 2, meaning his chances of backing up will likely rest on the minutes he plays for Queensland, provided he’s selected.
Are we willing to be hurt by KP again? Probably, he looked unreal…

Rabbitohs: 1. Jye Gray 2. Alex Johnston 3. Latrell Mitchell 4. Campbell Graham 5. Edward Kosi 6. Cody Walker 7. Ashton Ward 8. Keaon Koloamatangi 9. Bronson Garlick 10. Sean Keppie 11. Euan Aitken 12. Tallis Duncan 13. Cameron Murray
Bench: 14. Matthew Dufty 15. Lachlan Hubner 16. Jamie Humphreys 17. Tevita Tatola 18. Peter Mamouzelos 19. Adam Elliott
Reserves: 20. Liam Le Blanc 21. Moala Graham-Taufa 22. Thomas Fletcher
Analysis: The Rabbitohs have a great Origin period bye schedule, provided you’re not an actual Origin player.
They play all three major bye rounds and miss two mini bye rounds.
Latrell Mitchell has hit a $1.06M price tag, he’s a Round 12 sell and will fund our trades for the next three seasons…
As self-proclaimed experts, we probably should’ve flagged it far earlier across the podcast network, but with Latrell in career-best form, why have we not considered the greatest try-scorer in history, Alex Johnston?
Only 78 coaches in the top 10% overall own him, crazy!!!
He’s rocking a season average of 83 points and a five-round average of 97 points, with just one score below 60 coming back in Round 1.
As such, he now sits at $777k with a breakeven of 83.
I’d nearly just pay up for him if it wasn’t for the fact that Latrell will miss the first two major bye rounds in Round 12 and 15, which changes everything for AJ.
In a blow to Matt Dufty owners, Jye Gray returns at fullback pushing him to the bench which is probably worst scenario possible.
He’s $499k with a breakeven of 0 following his 57 points against Newcastle.
With Jack Wighton injured, Edward Kosi starts on the right wing and is a watch at $354k with excellent bye coverage.
Ashton Ward replaces Jamie Humphreys at halfback.
Embed from Getty ImagesSharks: 1. William Kennedy 2. Mawene Hiroti 3. Siosifa Talakai 4. KL Iro 5. Samuel Stonestreet 6. Braydon Trindall 7. Nicho Hynes 8. Addin Fonua-Blake 9. Blayke Brailey 10. Toby Rudolf 11. Briton Nikora 12. Teig Wilton 13. Cameron McInnes
Bench: 14. Jesse Colquhoun 15. Billy Burns 16. Oregon Kaufusi 17. Thomas Hazelton 18. Hohepa Puru 19. Braden Hamlin-Uele
Reserves: 20. Riley Jones 21. Niwhai Puru 22. Chris Veaila
Analysis: The Sharks have an okay Origin period schedule, missing the first major bye round along with another in Round 17, which is a full NRL round.
Nicho Hynes is in sublime form, notching his fourth ton in five games to sit at $862k with a breakeven of 43.
Not a lot to add on the Sharks’ attacking weapon, who remains a must as soon as possible.
KL Iro (my hero) has overcome a slow start to the season with consecutive scores of 132 and 128, thanks to hat-tricks in both games.
His base and power of 47.1 remain strong, and the tries are starting to flow for the strike centre.
At $727k with a breakeven of -18, it’s probably now or never for those interested.
All eyes were on Briton Nikora on his return to the starting team; he played 75 minutes for an extremely underwhelming 33 points.
He’s now at the ridiculous price of $342k, considering he averaged 58 points last season, and 70 in both seasons prior to that.
With a breakeven of 61, we can easily sit and watch again to ensure he locks down the big minute starting role, but even if out of form by his standards, he’ll be one of the best downgrades of all-time in the coming weeks.
There is a risk of a potential benching, so we don’t really need to rush the play.
Relief for Siosifa Talakai owners with no Ronaldo Mulitalo or Jesse Ramien, ensuring him one more strong price rise as starting centre.

Sea Eagles: 1. Tolutau Koula 2. Jason Saab 3. Clayton Faulalo 4. Reuben Garrick 5. Lehi Hopoate 6. Luke Brooks 7. Jamal Fogarty 8. Taniela Paseka 9. Brandon Wakeham 10. Ethan Bullemor 11. Haumole Olakau’atu 12. Ben Trbojevic 13. Jake Trbojevic
Bench: 14. Jake Simpkin 15. Nathan Brown 16. Jackson Shereb 17. Siosiua Taukeiaho 18. Blake Wilson 19. Joey Walsh
Reserves: 20. Josh Feledy 21. Zach Dockar-Clay 22. Simione Laiafi
Analysis: A rejuvenated Manly has a great Origin period schedule, playing all mini bye rounds and two majors.
Their winning streak has been impressive, but the two-point loss against Penrith away was arguably their biggest statement yet that they’re a new football side under Kieran Foran.
Tolutau Koula has been only okay since moving to fullback, producing scores of 53 and 63 points.
Regardless, the work rate has been there with 17 runs per game.
He failed to record a tackle break on the weekend; such is the force that is the Penrith Panthers.
Despite the okay scores, I think he’s a great buy this week at $591k with huge upside.
Taniela Paseka has peaked at $500k with a breakeven of 74.
He can be sold at any time or held for coverage of Round 12 before being moved on.
Haumole Olakau’atu registered his second ton of the season against Penrith, taking his season average to 80 points.
Provided he’s selected by NSW, he’d probably be a sell by Round 12; if he missed selection, he’d be a must for bye coverage.
Embed from Getty ImagesBroncos: 1. Reece Walsh 2. Josiah Karapani 3. Jesse Arthars 4. Gehamat Shibasaki 5. Antonio Verhoeven 6. Ezra Mam 7. Thomas Duffy 8. Ben Talty 9. Cory Paix 10. Jack Gosiewski 11. Xavier Willison 12. Jordan Riki 13. Patrick Carrigan
Bench: 14. Josh Rogers 15. Preston Riki 16. Va’a Semu 17. Aublix Tawha 18. Hayze Perham 19. Phillip Coates
Reserves: 20. Jaiyden Hunt 21. Ben Hunt 22. Kane Bradley
Analysis: The Broncos have one of the worst Origin period schedules, with all three byes landing between Round 12 and 19.
They do play the second two major bye rounds, but miss the tricky minor bye rounds afterwards.
With their injury crisis continuing and the likes of Reece Walsh and Pat Carrigan at a minimum set for Origin duties, they aren’t super appealing at the moment.
Xavier Willison has scored in back-to-back games to keep his cash ticking over.

Storm: 1. Sualauvi Faalogo 2. William Warbrick 3. Jack Howarth 4. Nick Meaney 5. Hugo Peel 6. Cameron Munster 7. Jahrome Hughes 8. Stefano Utoikamanu 9. Harry Grant 10. Josh King 11. Shawn Blore 12. Ativalu Lisati 13. Trent Loiero
Bench: 14. Trent Toelau 15. Joe Chan 16. Davvy Moale 17. Cooper Clarke 18. Stanley Huen 19. Manaia Waitere
Reserves: 20. Jack Hetherington 21. Lazarus Vaalepu 22. Moses Leo
Analysis: Melbourne doesn’t have a bye until Round 15, but they do go on to miss the last two major bye rounds.
Their current form makes them very hard to consider players, especially with key contingents about to hit Origin camps.
Ativalu Lisati played 63 minutes on return from injury for 60 points, with 62 in base!
He’s now $377k with a breakeven of -12, and landed on the right edge, which will be outside the returning Jahrome Hughes. If you don’t already own, buy!
Cameron Munster is a shell of himself at the moment, so much so that his Origin spot is being debated.
He hasn’t scored above 62 since Round 1 and sits with a five-round average of just 49 points.
In his last seven games, he’s had just one try-assist, while failing to register a try of his own.
More perplexing is that he’s still averaging a healthy 41.8 in base and power, including 35 in base alone.
Embed from Getty ImagesTigers: 1. Heath Mason 2. Sunia Turuva 3. Patrick Herbert 4. Taylan May 5. Luke Laulilii 6. Jarome Luai 7. Jock Madden 8. Terrell May 9. Tristan Hope 10. Fonua Pole 11. Sione Fainu 12. Kai Pearce-Paul 13. Alex Twal
Bench: 14. Latu Fainu 15. Bunty Afoa 16. Alex Seyfarth 17. Royce Hunt 18. Mavrik Geyer 19. Jeral Skelton
Reserves: 20. Charlie Murray 21. Tony Sukkar 22. Javon Andrews
Analysis: While missing the first major bye round, the Tigers boast one of the best Origin period draws, missing just one game.
Rinse and repeat, Alex Twal and Terrell May who I have very little more to add on.
Kai Pearce-Paul returns on the edge from a head knock, while Samuela Fainu and Adam Doueihi are set for extended stints on the sideline.
Tristan Hope played the full 80 in the loss to Cronulla, granted injuries may have extended his game time.
He scored 70 points with 60 in base in the absence of Api Koroisau, who will serve a further two-game suspension.
He’s $236k with a breakeven of -7 and should start in big minutes for two more weeks.
Heath Mason starts at fullback, with Sunia Turuva shifting back to the wing.

Raiders: 1. Kaeo Weekes 2. Savelio Tamale 3. Sebastian Kris 4. Matthew Timoko 5. Jed Stuart 6. Ethan Strange 7. Ethan Sanders 8. Corey Horsburgh 9. Tom Starling 10. Joseph Tapine 11. Hudson Young 12. Simi Sasagi 13. Jayden Brailey
Bench: 14. Owen Pattie 15. Daine Laurie 16. Ata Mariota 17. Morgan Smithies 18. Chevy Stewart 19. Jordan Uta
Reserves: 20. Ethan Alaia 21. Jake Clydsdale 22. Sione Finau
Analysis: The Raiders have a great Origin period draw with just one bye, however they do have another awkward bye in Round 11, which is preceded by a tough clash with Penrith.
For this reason, it’s probably worth waiting on any players of interest until Round 12.
They do play their next four games at home in Canberra.
Potential cheapie Joe Roddy is out with an injury, Zac Hosking remains sidelined due to a head knock, while Hudson Young returns from suspension on the edge.
Simi Sasagi notched his third ton on the trot with two tries on the Gold Coast; he’s now $789k with a breakeven of 46.
He’s an absolute must and likely shifts to the right edge to accommodate Young’s return, meaning he’ll get the gun match-up with Blaize Talagi.
Despite another likely price rise, I’d probably wait until after the bye to grab him.
Patient Ethan Sanders owners are finally getting some reward; he’s risen to $422k with a breakeven of 26.
Embed from Getty ImagesPanthers: 1. Dylan Edwards 2. Thomas Jenkins 3. Paul Alamoti 4. Casey McLean 5. Brian To’o 6. Blaize Talagi 7. Nathan Cleary 8. Moses Leota 9. Freddy Lussick 10. Lindsay Smith 11. Isaiah Papali’i 12. Luke Garner 13. Isaah Yeo
Bench: 14. Jack Cole 15. Scott Sorensen 16. Liam Henry 17. Izack Tago 18. Billy Phillips 19. Billy Scott
Reserves: 20. Kalani Going 21. Sione Fonua 22. Luron Patea
Analysis: Penrith have an excellent bye period schedule for their Origin contingent, with byes in two major bye rounds.
However, I also suspect that with their ladder position, Ivan Cleary will rest Nathan Cleary, Isaah Yeo, Brian To’o, and whoever else plays Origin very quickly.
Canberra this week is an okay match-up; they then face the Dragons at Suncorp next week, oh boy…
They’re a little tricky to assess due to the poor bye period coverage and likely Origin impact, but nonetheless, with high scoring potential, they warrant strong consideration.
Tom Jenkins has failed to score in two straight games, seeing his price plummet to $727k with a breakeven of 162.
The likes of Jenkins, Casey McLean, and Isaiah Papali’i are all dropping to more affordable rates with great scoring potential ongoing.
